Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 26 November 2009 09:25
I'm aiming for the BNBF Centrals at the end of July, but if I'm ready earlier I'll do the Welsh on July 4th instead.

I also need to consider what NPA show I'm doing when the dates come out.

Both physique class EEK!!!

My Chest strength has been gonig down for quite sometime now... odd... I've not injured myself anywhere :-( You're right it doesn't matter, it's just frustrating as maybe a year ago, I was aiming for an 80kg bench, now I'm lucky if I can even do 60kgs... :-(

on the chest strenth thing, are you sure the drop in weight isnt because of a change in training? ie higher reps, different way of working?

seems really weird to have lost strenth if everything else is the same!

if there are definately no injuries, then it must be down to a change in how your training one way or another!  cant go on this week though, as you did shoulders first!

do chest first for the next couple of sessions, and see where your strenth is at then

I much prefer DB press as well, find the easier a lot nicer and get more ROM.

Hope you make the centrals

Welshy - me too, the Centrals is normally the harder show and I wanna see how I stand up with teh best of 'em after a year off :-D

Dazc - even prior to the 100 reps (when I was doing max strength work), it was going down - not too worried, as long as my Chest still looks good.

Measured BF% today, 18.6% on the Tanita's WOOP WOOP! Carl had said he thought I was leaner, I didn't believe him but I do believe the tanita's!! ;-D

Did Back and Arms today at Lougars (Ian Hendy's Gym) He was 1st in BNBF Heavyweights 2007, nice to see a fellow BNBF'er. It was amazing gym!

AND managed my first venture with straps in ages! They were really old and thinned out - perfect! I may yet be converted!

You'll be fine... It's natural Centrals and Northern are bigger qualifiers, they have bigger capacity's and are the last two qualifiers.

I've always gone for what I thought would be an 'easy' one to qualify at - at 2008 mine was the biggest physique qualifier so that backfired and goes to show you never know!!

Thanks Welshy! :-) How was London Club? Did you have a good w/o with Annie B?

Yesterday but a a breakthrough for me - am due on which means munchies, but I've made a short-term goal for myself to get out of the habit of having a weekend cheat - if I fancy something during the week I'll have it (this week I haven't though). It's more about getting out of the habit of expecting something.

So yesterday, when I got a bit niggly, I have a couple of rice cakes and a mini pot of peaches!

Then went out last night and didn't drink again WOOP!!!

Am really proud of me, feel like I'm really getting somewhere at last :-)

Only 9.5 weeks til I go to Scotland!

Dazc - unitard retard was indeed 'in da house' but I just rose above it and thought about the money lol :-D

Just caught up with your journal. Love the attitude. I've always wanted to turn up my best at a qualifer and never managed it but at least I've had the knowledge that I can improve for the finals, can't say I've ever done it intentionally but have always had the peace of mind that I could still qualify to show the improvements. Frustrating in some way as my family have never seen me at my best as they only watch the shows in Manchester.

Sooooo, you're a dancer too!!! Is there anything you've not tried .....I did Latin American upto being 16. Hated ballroom though.

Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 29 November 2009 21:56
Awww Kitty! I hated the Latin and lovvveddd the Ballroom! But I started with ballroom and only did a few years of latin in total - plus don't like the being sexy of latin :-*

I haven't done the following, which I'd like to do still:
Bobsleding
Curling
Rowing
(If anyone can help me with any of these three I'd really really appreciate it :-) )

Hopefully the change in attitude is here to stay. I really really want to be positive and believe in myself, for no other reason initially than I would like to see how my life differs with me being more positive. Just before xmas is a godsend to be honest, it'll keep me nicely on the straight and narrow. I'd love to start my diet in March under 10st (which I'm wayyyy under atm :-) )

Am even thinking I may be ready to move my journal eeek! Already feel like prep's started for me, it did the day the dates were announced :-)

AnnieB is a rower   She's getting back into it apparently.

A positive attitude certainly helps. I remember being negative one night during my recent prep and hated the photos we'd just taken but the following morning I was feeling better and the photos looked ok

I want to do it on water tough - AnnieB is an indoor rower, and I'd have to actually get teh motivation to like rowing tee hee! This will, however, fit in nicely, with one of my goals to keep using different pieces of cardio equipment instead fo just sticking on the Stepper :-)

So... today - Leg Workout Heavy

Couldn't get into the groove... Was feeling a bit icky from breakfast and not sure if that had s.thing to do with it. No excuses, it was cr@p but onwards and upwards!

Bring on Chesticles and Shoulders tomorrow!

Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 02 December 2009 13:55
Took Tuesday off (tummy pains too much and felt rather sick).

Today is my day off normally so am sticking to it, and will go back to training tomorrow for the Chest and Shoulder w/o I missed.

Am pondering heading out to do a little xmas shopping, but don't really wanna get rained on :-(

Am also wondering when to have a cheat (due to the fact I can only have one during the week now, as opposed to at weekends - agreement with self) It's actually really hard to have one when you feel like you're doing so well, cos you don't wanna break the hex! Have had two excellent, no cheating weeks now - I feel aymayzing!!!!! Yesterday I fancied something so I had a little natural yogurt, some cashews and a tsp of honey drizzled on top and that was more than enough.

BRING IT!!!

Thanks Kitty! Still tummy hurty, but it might be for a bit longer anyway as I've been put on Cilest to try to regulate things a bit...

Trained Chest and Shoulders today in that order, still no improvements in Chest, only did 45kgs for 8 reps :-( But did higher volume before to warm through at 20kgs, 30kgs, 35kgs, all at 12-15 rep sets.

On the cheat front, had a Chocolate Crepe in town and a Yogurt, Almond and squirt of honey moment y.day.

Carl text on the way home and asked if I wanted pizza. I said maybe a slice but not really. When he got home, it took him like an hour to decide whether to have pizza or not! All because I said I'd take it or leave it, i.e. if he ordered some I might have a slice. That seemed to leave him in a real quandry! Interesting to see how he can't make a decision like that by himself! In the end he had soup and bread but it was painful watching him decide!

No actually cheeky! I'm still off it from when they delivered an hour late on halloween and it was stone cold grrrr...

Welshy - had a Zinger Tower, chips, Malteasers Krushem' milkshake and 2 strippers... It was surprisingly good! I NEVER fancy KFC!

So still got my chicken in! Although I'd think there are more cals in a KFC than half a pizza!

Today trained Back and Bi's which I'll post later, and did 5mins Rowing! Gutted as I didn't get to 1000m in 5mins as I planned to, the task is on now!
