Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 07 December 2009 11:40
Feeling ill didn't come to anything, and I had another weekend of sticking to my goal of no weekend cheat takeaway :-)
The worse it got to was 3 biccies yesterday hurrah! Feel heaps better

Trained Legs Heavy today
SQUAT
20kgs 12 reps (warm up)
40kgs 12 reps
60kgs 12 reps
70kgs 7 reps
(Didn't have right belt on so didn't feel comfortable going any higher on Squats today)

LEG PRESS
120kgs 12 reps
160kgs 8 reps
180kgs 6 reps WOOP WOOP!
Bring on that 200 next week! Wore a belt and felt much more comfortable and confident to go lower.

40kgs 12 reps
60kgs 6 reps (no belt)
70kgs 6 reps

SEATED HAM CURL
30kgs 12 reps
35kgs 10 reps
40kgs 7 reps
45kgs 5 reps

Then did 10 mins on Stepper, gym buddy came up and was like "Please do 10 more with me" so I did YAY JAMAL! Then 10 mins Bike ride home so am feeling pretty pleased with myself :-)

I'm not sure what to do on the seminar, Welshy's very kindly offered a car share with her if I want. Just need to think about the timings etc. I get back to work on the Weds from Canada and that only leaves me a few days before I'd be off again. I think realistically I can't do it, financially, or to my clients tbh :-(

Training Chest and Shoulders today then off for coffee with mum-in-law who's staying with us this week :-)

Did the Chest and Shoulder-age, up to 50kgs for 5 reps on Smith (with Carl spotting lol)

Would like to go to Tan's seminar for some desperate help on my Bench Press...

Front delts and rears caning today to point where it's tough to lift arms. Interestingly, training Shoulders after Chest makes no difference to what I can lift for Shoulders, so gonna keep it that way around from now on :-)

Did 20mins cardio in evening after last client.

Today, my mummy came over from Brighton to finally see my abode, we took her out for cakeage at the Tenth Hole with Carl's mum. Me and Carl worked together and chose a Malteaser and Aero cheesecake, and a Honeycomb Pie which we shared. They also di us an amazing Brie and Cranberry baguette. Pretty amazing actually

Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 10 December 2009 16:15
I trained Back and Biceps today... Got really annoyed doing Bent Over Rows as again, without straps and had stupid grip issues which resulted in me throwing a 60kg bar down to the floor *blush* I was sooooo mad, it was my first exercise!

Today put xmas tree up and going back to gym shortly to do cardio and got 2 clients

Told Kitty today - definitely going to Tan's meet, but think I have to fly (at least back) to get me back on time as I'll need to prep food for the Monday's diet start and I want to be organised :-)

When you've had a whole year out, you see if you don't know EXACTLY when the shows are and when to start dieting! I wanted a focus, so have picked two shows, one a 14 week diet, the other a 17-week. Whenever I'm ready, I'll compete :-)
NPA not announced their dates yet but as soon as they do I'll suss that one out too. Have to plan early as need to work out when to do extra work hours - being self-employed sucks!

I always start dieting in March, but next year will be the latest I've ever started, as normally it's March 3rd after my bday!

Welshy - use Tesco Clubcard vouchers, exchange for Airmiles and BANG! free flight!
As it is, Flybe return from Southampton is only £65 - perfect, I just need Santa Claus to help me out and somewhere to stay on Sat night as I'll be skinto.

Before I forget, good luck to Clare Taubman, competing at UKFBB World Cup in Madrid this weekend, it's been a loonnnnnngggg year dieting!

Training has never been a problem for me, I LOVE IT!

Could always put a bit more oomph into cardio and had previously had probs with dieting but I don't see that happening next year :-)

Will be interesting to see what I look like at 100% :-)

Training Chest and Shoulders today, much later on, can't wait!!

Only did Chest tonight, then Abs, couldn't do Shoulders as I felt like I'd given 110% on Chest to the point where I thought my Chest/Shoulder tie-in was going to snap during calbe-crossover! Mega pumped and training fecking heavy too!

Kitty - here's hoping :-) Even if the positivity wouldn't bring me anything better (I KNOW it will) at least I'll have a better time doing onstage!

So true. I really enjoyed myself on stage at the finals this year more than any other show I've done simply because I knew I looked better than I ever had. I was even happy to be beaten looking like I was BUT it would have been a bummer . Hearing your name called out as first in the finals is one of the best feelings and I do hope you get to hear it this year. I have every faith in your confidence and ability .

Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 16 December 2009 15:25
Thanks Kitty! That really means a lot... I feel much better this year in that I feel like I have enough muscle to be a physique girl rather than "I'll do it this year as a stepping stone and next year I'll have more muscle", I'll feel like I really belong, and will hopefully have a stormer!

You were really confident the year before as well, but I couldn't work out whether that was real or bravado - this year, EASY TO TELL, so I guess it does show the difference.

Plus, I can actually see my leg muscles now, which is odd. Before I had big legs, but wasn't really that sure whether it was all fat or muscle! :-(

IB - I've been lucky in the past that, Karen, initially, didn't get me doing cardio on leg days, so it was quite a shock to the system for me too but I had some time to kill! And yes, we need to fix up a workout, I'm rubbish at messaging sorry!!

not been very well all weekend :-(

Was meant to ahve a girlie night out last night, but it was so icy in Brighton that we ended up not going anywhere. I just sat in my friend house on the seafront feeling sorry for myself - didn't even drink!

Today, am still achy and yukky but at least I'm back home now.

Carl has just taken Delta to dog training dressed as Santa Claus - Delta ofcourse not Carl!

Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 22 December 2009 12:53
So... managed to get through teaching Strictly on Sat, then went off to see friends in Brighton.
Meant to go out but icy roads and feeling like utter death meant I managed to co-erce them into staying in and playing "Guess the Intro" all night. Drank half a beer, mixed with cold and flu tabs - interesting!
Sunday - still dying, went home as soon as I could and was taken care of by Carl all day.
Monday - still dying, had 3 clients, 2 of whom were ill too, then came home and died some more.
Today - return of the monthly but feeling mildly better so went training and dosed self up with Tribulus, Red Kick, NOX and managed to good Chest and Tri's workout:

INCLINE BARBELL BENCH
20kgs 15 reps
30kgs 12 reps
40kgs 10 reps
45kgs 6 reps

FLAT DB FLYE
12kgs 12 reps
16kgs 10 reps
16kgs 8 reps

POP PRESS UPS ON/OFF WEIGHT PLATES
10 reps
PRESS UPS HOLDING DBS
8 reps
PRESS UPS LEGS ON STABILITY BALL
8 reps

TRICEP PUSHDOWN
16.25kgs 12 reps
18.75kgs 8 reps
16.25kgs 10 reps

DB TRICEP KICKBACK
6kgs 12 reps, 2 sets
Not done these for ages! Could really feel it!
