I stop training them early to prevent inflammation and water retention with the results intending to be a more dry look to the quads, I still trained glutes and hamstrings (new principle introduced to me by Paul of which I was VERY skeptical )

Flick, nothing wrong in listening to what others have to say as long as you don't implement anything else other than what your coach has instructed you to. If you think something worth while has been suggested then ask your coaches opinion and see why they don't or do agree. Again, it's how you learn different methods of prep. Many of the principles are the same, it's the refinements that vary drastically!! You'll never know until you try something new and that's what Paul's done for me even though it wasn't THAT much different from previous prep but the little changes made a HUGE difference!!

No she didn't give me a workout plan, we've worked together for the past 3 years so I've still got her first one. If she's got something specific in mind then she'll send it over, other than that she trusts me to get on with it... :-) Sometimes with legs, she'll give me a workout to try - I really saw the effects of doing a supersetted leg workout in 2007 during prep, my legs were battered!

Had my first little wobble today
 
Had breakfast, got meal timinigs wrong in my head and Carl had to being in meal 2.
 
Then I got up from my nap this p.m. to eat and Carl didn't tell me we were out of rice! Food already an hour late due to nap, I had to have Oats and a scoop of protein as a substitute It's not terrible but I should know better.
 
1st lesson learnt of prep this year: BE MORE ORGANISED AND THEN SOME!
 
Am just having a bad day, plus it's a day off and normally I'd workout to shift a bad mood...

So... yesterday did inevitably get worse:

After posting, I then forgot I would need food whilst at work, started cooking too late and left for work with half crunchy rice and Turkey steak half raw...

Frazzled in micrograve at work but woke at 3am this morning with horrific tummy pains and had to get up as couldn't sleep :-) I blame the Turkey :-(

So eating for yday went as follows:
08.45 Oats, Banana, Whey
11.45 Turkey n Rice
3.45 Oats n Whey
6.45 Raw Turkey with crunchy rice
9.45 Salmon with inedibile sweet potato and crunchy broccolli (as cooked by Carl thanks sweetie!)

Then been up since 3am :-( Off to do some cardio now before brekkie *And she trudges on*

P.S. Dazc Takeaway? NOT THIS YEAR!!!!! NEVER!!!!!

Currently making plans with Chrissie for next Weds FABBA Scottish visit - there til Saturday WOOP!

Hi...dunno too much about competitions or BB at the moment but reading your thread is inspiring Flick, ya know, to me, even tho' it's weird thing to say, when you say you're having a blip that makes me realise how normal it all is...I fret if I fall down on the dieting or can't "get" what anyone is saying to me about weights and training and stuff...so reading everyones challenges and journeys, which I have been doing over the last few days makes it seem possible for me to try to achieve what I want for myself...I find you all inspiring in this way.....so just chucking in a "way to go Flick"...even tho' I don't know you...hope this is ok...

I'm not missing my old foods at all but it's not even been a week yet!

NorthernGal that's really nice, it spurs me on to know I inspire people. I'm always telling my clients my little tales of woe to say 'I am just like you, it's just as hard for me' :-) (Although I would like to be superhuman, preferably Catwoman!!)

Tummy still hurting today but cardio and eating has gone on regardless. Was planning to train at 1pm but can't face it til a bit later...

All fine here, did cardio yday all on treadmill.
Trained Arms in eve - interrupted by new potential client (couldn't turn it down) awsome workout -OUCHY!!
Today StrictlyFIT for an hour at 9 and 2 clients after.

Weighed in 9st 7lbs, so lost 2lbs in a week -prob water from coming off pasta, oatcakes and cottage fromage... :-)

Cheat meal tonight (yeah right, I should be so lucky!!!)
