Yesterdays session, shoulder press felt so hard. Supposed to be training back today but moved it to tomorrow because my legs are still killing me.

Hi mate, How are you performing your shoulder press? seated/standing? when I do them, I make sure I do them first as they can be a nightmare even if only a few lifts are done before it!

Standing mate, I do them first as well its just when I export the log from iFitness its gets the order wrong for some reason. 45kg just felt really heavy, should've dropped the weight but I hate doing that.

Fair play mate, standing would be a nightmare! that's why I just stick to doing it seated on the smith.. no doubt it takes some of the resistance but still get results from it. Best not to drop the weights anyway mate, then that hard-earned cash saved from training at home gets whizzed away on buying a new barbell!

It's pretty hard to tell, I think it takes some.. but not too much. I prefer going to the gym alone which is why I use it to be honest. Mind you, I only use it for military press and squats these days. Ahhhhh I see, apologies! I'm in weekend mode already haha!

God dammit, couldn't get 140kg off the ground last week and felt good for it today but it stopped below my knees for what seemed like an age and then it was all over. Bottom of my back was blown after that and 115kg x5 was a real struggle. Thought I'd post a pic to show I really do deadlift in my living room, need to shift that gut. 140kg attempt

Ok session, benching was slightly better but not much, whole session was difficult and I felt really tired. Probably should've eaten more than a couple of apples before starting. Thumbless curls felt good but I think the twist had more of an effect than the grip. Order was, bench, incline db, flye, BB curl, db curl

I really do deadlift in my living room, need to shift that gut Nobody's gut looks the best when you are bent forward like that. Looks to be a decent position over the bar but maybe need to keep your lower back a bit more arched if you can. Although the idea of me giving tips on how to deadlift is so comical I will stop, cease and desist right now.

Good progress man! Particularly with your OHP. Nice squatting too. Keep up the good work!

Good work on the squats. For shoulders; I always find it a bit odd if someone can do more on the rear raise than front. The rear delt is the smallest head of the three and I reckon if you isolate it properly it is also easily the weakest. It usually looks as though those lifting heavier get a lot of back into the movement and make it more of a row. Specifically it tends to get lots of lower trap into the movement so that what happens is the shoulder blades are pulled together rather than the arm working through the quite limited range of motion of the rear delt. I sound like a bit of an @rse there but it is just one of those things that I find interesting. I'll see if I can find some vids to illustrate the point and post 'em in my journal to save cluttering your place up with my pernickity ramblings.
