Jason's road to the next Muscletalk Bedford Classics in 2012

Ok well since i joined a while back i have been a bit non existant but after competing in the Muscletalk Classics yesterday and meeting some really nice people i have decided to make a journal of my road to the next show, i am not sure where i placed yet but i imagine it was close to podium spot as i was in every call out with the top guys and in the call out with the top 3, feed back has been that i need to keep my leg definition showing and build thickness.
 
This will be my main aims over the next year.
 
So a little history about myself, my name is Jason Law, i train in a bodybuilding style gym in Norwich and have good help around me like the UK BNBF amateur Champion Mark Claxton.
I decided last year to train to competition level to compete in a local show hosted by a company called ASN Protein that offered an invite to Novice Britain Finals, i trained throught the year for this and placed in 3rd in the beginners category, with a very disuptable possible second (i can upload pics if anyone interested).
I decided NABBA was not the route i wanted to follow and that UKBFF to me seemed more professional and better judging (like is said, thats just my opinion), my housemate was competing in the UKBFF Bedford under 80kgs Intermediates (in which he placed second, close first i think as well) he pursuaded me to continue dieting for another 2 and a half weeks and compete at bedford, in which i did.
 
I had a bit of a mission on my hands as by that point i had eaten a lot of junk food over 3 days after show and had put on a couple of lbs of fat and a lot of water. i did it though but i faced a few problems towards show. i was sitting at 84.4kgs with a few days to go and needed to get to 83kgs, i went keto for 3 days which really knocked the weight off (mainly water) by friday morning i was still showing as 84kgs, so i was worried. by the time i weighed in i was 79.7kg (not sure how this happened but i think my my scales were wrong) also turned out i was 178cm so i could be a max of 84kgs so i was miles under, i then tryied to shove carbs down me but this was too late, it barely filled me out and it smoothed me over, i also startied fast sugars too early so these affected my on stage look.
 
got out there and gave it my all and just waiting a final confirmation of my placing, the competition was tough and i feel the guys above me deserved their place so i am not unhappy with that, unhappy though that i worked hard and did not get a podium spot but this has given me the inspiration to train harder than ever.
 
 
i am now going to bulk heavily allt eh way through until january and then steadily reduce my carbs from there until show. i do not at this stage plan to reduce carbs too low as i have found this crash dieting doesnt work that well, instead i aim to burn the fat and feed the body.

Welcome over mate - I still need to make myself known! Should be a bit easier now you're not in prep mode

Yes mate although I find it easier using imageshack.

off season my main aim is just to add mass, i have the shape but lack thickness compared to others i have been up against so i want to add a decent amount of size this offseason, my other aim is to perfect my posing, luckily with a lot of experienced people around me i can improve on this. with my housemate competing in the UKBFF finals this year and other friends looking to compete i will look to help them as much as possible

not a problem, i will just wait until my new comp is up and running as it wont let me use photobucket etc from these work comps, its like they want us to work or something :)

Eric gave me a slip with all his details on at the show... He also filmed all the routines.

Has anyone used this Eric guy before? I'm finding him quite useless at the moment, also I sent money bacs transfer early in the week and have messaged him a few times as there was no indication as to how long I would have to wait for this and he hasn't replied. He was replying before he got my money tho

Hi I haven't been on here for a long while so thought i would update this, I have decided against the Bedford show this year and aiming towards stars of tomorrow as I wanted to take the time to bulk some more, currently sitting just under 95kg but the bf has gone up so I will be looking to slowly increase this wait until 20 weeks out which is when dieting begins for me.
