very odd indeed, would be interested to see what Khans next move is in terms of opponent now. I honestly dont think he should have gone public about this issue anyway but then that's just what he does anyway. He certainly hasnt come out of it looking good.

Maybe they have a decent fight lined up for Khan and think thats better all round than a rematch? Or even the rematch in the bag? lol Should be a good year for boxing with some of the possible fights that could happen.

I guess as the WBA have already ordered a rematch Khan has what he wanted regardless of what the IBF may of said/done. Either Peterson rematches him or he drops the WBA and lets Khan fight for it against the next available challenger in the rankings. If only Maidana hadn't signed to fight Alexander!

Even Carl Froch is growing tired of this saga: While Froch had no problems with his defeat to Ward, he agreed that Amir Khan needed to now drop his continued arguments against his loss against Lamont Peterson, saying it was doing neither him nor the sport any good. "I thought the fight was close and whichever way it's gone you couldn't really argue with the result, so I think he really needs to quieten down about it because people aren't taking too well to his comments and it's almost making him look like a bad loser," added Froch. "But he can come again, he's a young man Amir Khan, he's a very good fighter he can box he's got fast hands and he's a very fit young man. "He needs to get himself back in the gym, get the rematch on or get another fight on and just draw a line under it. "It looks bad for the sport as it highlights bad publicity around boxing, every sport's got its politics and issues but we can do without it being brought to the forefront every time there's a big fight involving two top level fights. So I wish he'd draw a line under it, move on and show a bit of class."
