Last order from Myprotein
28 January 2012 16:42
( permalink)
Not the usual 'didnt get my stuff the day after but didnt contact them just went straight to forum' post. Ordered whey, bcaas, creatine and some samples/bars on 12th jan. Bars to sample as I would have been making a bigger order for when bulking in spring/summer. Free 3-5 day delivery. Week goes by, no delivery which is fair enough as it said 3-5 days and i had 2 weeks supply left. 24th, still 'in production' on website so rang up as i thought something must have gone amiss. Had no email off them or anything. Helpdesk told me one of the bars had gone out of stock. Ok I say, forget the bar and ship the rest then, not fussed about one bar, it's the protein/creatine bags the biggest part of order. She says ok, i'll take that off the order and the rest will get to you tomorrow. 25th nothing, but I gave an extra day incase they'd missed the cutoff for next day. 26th nothing, rang up again. "looks like the other samples have gone out of stock too." I ask them again to just ship what they have, protein creatine etc and forget whatever is out, take it off the order as it's been 2 weeks now. Told ok, i'll make sure that's shipped, you'll get it tomorrow. fri 27th. Nothing delivered and still 'in production' on website. Rang them again. Response was they didnt know why it hadnt shipped and they;d have to look into it and try and get it dispatched. I asked when it would get here, this was 1pm so ample time for Saturday delivery (I can send something pre-10am from work before 3pm with our courier). Reply was no, it'd be sometime next week. Why? 15 days of having the money from my account, 3 phonecalls, 2 lies of 'it'll be there tomorrow' - at this point I feel completely helpless and pissed off as I have no money, no protein and cannot believe a word said from customer services. Cancelled the order as I was not willing to wait an indefinite amount of time for something I had no idea when would arrive and with no honest point of contact. Had no apology. I'm sure this will get deleted as they are a sponsor but as you can see, I tried contacting them directly to no avail, so what do you do? I've been using this company since they started, spent hundreds of pounds a year and recommended them to everyone i've known in gyms (know for a fact I've got them several £100+ orders because of this). Now will be looking at BBW and not recommending them to anyone anymore thanks to this absolute dire customer service - it's easy to ship orders when there is no issue, it's when there's a problem that customer service needs to step up and protect the reputation.

Agree fully, they've lost my business and my recommendations through a similar dishonest 'we're doing you a favour' approach to customer service.

That's bad alright. Although I don't think the CS assistant was lying. They probably did their job and flagged your order to go but they wouldn't be the one to box/ship it. Their warehouse staff could be at fault there. Bad service though. I've still had no problems since I started ordering in 05.

I feel your frustration no doubt, I've always found their service to be spot on..wasn't too sure about Yodel as I'd prefer Parcelforce as the driver leaves it in a secure safe place and know's me, but Yodel actually turned up with the order in the evening(7pm) which surprised me but I was obviously pleased about..

Members are certanly free to share their experinces. However for me personally I wouldn't feel the need too. I'd just take my business elsewhere and be done with.

As above. There are two types of people who have replied in this thread: a) those who have never had a problem with MP; and b) those who have already had a bad experience with MP and have already taken their custom elsewhere. This thread isn't going to change person a)'s mind, he will only change his mind when/if he has a bad experience himself. And the thread is merely preaching to the choir in respect of person b). Therefore the thread is achieving nothing and is completely pointless.

Oh and there is a person c) as well, someone who has never used MP before but is considering it. And with all due respect I think he is capable of making up his own mind on the matter.

And threads like this are for person c) to use when making up his mind. That's how business works CitizenKane - you endeavour to get/keep a good reputation because people can, you know, write reviews or experiences of companies' service - how do you think people make up their mind on buying from a company when the market is full of similiar ones selling nigh-on identical products at more or less identical prices? I suppose reviews of products on amazon and ebay feedback are completely pointless too, lol? IainK - this is a supplement forum, with advertising from companies vying for people's money, where people discuss supplements and companies service, so I don't see why it wouldn't need a thread? There is never an issue with threads praising either a product or a retailer, so why an issue when it's not a straight thumbs up, everyone's happy? Anyway - ordered from BBW sunday night, protein, creatine, few samples - arrived tues morning with some straps, Warrior Rage and a fitness model calendar thrown in the box. Great stuff, total opposite experience

I can't understand why anyone would have a problem with the thread. I was due to order from them this Friday but I'm not sure now. I like to know whether there's issues, like when they changed supplier and the powder was like grit. I'm gonna have a look around a few sites and see if there's other people with issues. I don't have much money and if I'm laying it out I'd be royally pi**ed if I waited weeks for my order.

But it's nice to have an idea of which companies you may or may not experience issues with. Hence websites like trust pilot. I find it a bit odd that people don't receive similar comments when they post about having received their delivery - what's the point? You expect your delivery to actually arrive, surely? All feedback is relevant, it allows others to make a decision on where they spend their money.

What about person 'c' who has never ordered with MP and is looking to make a decision on where to spend his money, or whether to use MP? edit: Just seen your second post. I still disagree mind, people can make their own mind up if they are presented with others experiences - good and bad.

I was once person C. The amount of bad feedback I was seeing about them threw me off and now I use bulkpowders.

I'm with Para, I think it's relevent to post bad as well as good experiences. Para is probably just feeling a little let down (as I would). and is venting, nowt wrong with that, being left in the dark and not knowing what's going on can really p1ss you off.

unlucky para with your experience with MP - personally I never had an issue with them but have since converted to BBW & can only sing their praises. as far as IainK & CK's comments go, these threads are relevant, very relevant if the mentioned supplement company is a forum sponsor. All comments good & bad are worth noting that's what a forum is. In the TAOS forum people will mention their experiences with a certain steroid, in the Training Correctly & Routines forums people will talk about their experiences with routines whether good or bad & the reader will be able to decide if the routine is right for them. No difference here. Plus the OP was getting nowhere speaking to the company direct so maybe a public flaming will get their attention! I'm sure they'd like theses issue brought to their attention so they can actively change the systems that might be failing them.

further to this thread - I placed an order with www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk yesterday. I opted for the free 48hr delivery - it came today - under 24hrs from order to door. That's worth mentioning!

We apologise sincerely for the issues you've experienced on your latest order with us. As highlighted in this thread, our CS reps won't have lied to you, there just appears to have been a number of issues with the stock of some of the products within your order and some issues with the dispatch process of your order in particular. Our efficiency rate is extremely high on the dispatching of orders and it's unfortunate that yours has been caught up on this occasion. In response to Walnaldinho, we do utilise Trust Pilot and we have an extremely high rating of 8.2, which we are very proud of. Transparancy is very important to us here, and we always listen to our customers. We are displeased to hear of this latest experience you've had with us, and apologise once again for the inconvenience caused. Has your order now been delivered/cancelled and refunded?
