Latest gym fashion?

Two guys in our gym the other night wearing knitted hats that would fall down over their eyes when they started their exercises! Thought it was just a one off and then turned round and there was another. Is this anywhere else?

tbh 1mr the massive hat thing isnt chavvy, i see it loads around uni by the more preppy student types. i often wear hats in the gym, but i wear hats everywhere cause i recently got a skinhead and its cold :P the type i wear is perfectly practical though, i promise!

I noticed this not one hour ago and was just going to ask this very same question - get back from the gym and voila, a thread has materialised. Seems really stupid to me, plus the guy next to me in his dayglo 80s sweat band, that was pretty stupid!!

I've seen these too and they look completely ridiculous. Despite the fact that a lot of them look like grannies knitted teacosies, its just such a weird thing to wear in a gym of all places. Outside, I can understand it, but in the gym, er, no.

Do you mean like beanie hats? Is that not a real westside PL trend? Or am I thinking of something else entirely??

You mean these silly things - Not really a chav thing, more emo i would say. Hats seem to be well in at the moment, I felt out of place in a club last week for not having a farmers hat on !

couple in my gym wear beanies...thought they might be a bit cold but then noticed they were wearing a vest instead of a nice knitted cardi, so couldn't be that! Never got the whole need to wear a baseball cap or any other type of outside headwear in an air conditioned gym...are they generally considered cool or tools?

I couldn't imagine wearing any form of headwear to the gym. I'm a proper facist when it comes to gym wear though. If it isn't shorts and a t-shirt then you're obviously a c**t Guess it comes down to peopel who go to the gym to train and those who go as a status thing. ps. Plimpsoles wtf!!!!

A pretty big gym trend I've noticed in both gyms I've been in is that 16-18 year olds, generally rugby jocks from the big rugby schools, will wear their school uniform shoes in the gym with the rest of their regular workout clothes. Like, they were leather shoes with big heels on them. They only ever bench bress and OH press so it doesn't really matter what shoes they wear I guess!
