Leicester's Strongest Man - 30 July 2009 12:38 ( #1 )

The event Leicester's strongest man is taking place on the Saturday 22nd August 2009 at Saffron Lane Sports Stadium, Saffron lane, Leicester.

There will be 6 events including van pull, tyre flip, deadlift, barrel loading, farmers walk and a medley consisting of 3 events in 1, there will be 4 weight categories including under 80kg, 80-92kg, 92-102kg and then over 102kg we have 40 spaces, 10 in each category.

There will also be other attractions such as british arm wrestling champions including local Dean Scarsbrook with a table for public to compete in a tournament or just give the best a try.

Also WrestleLeicester are doing an appearance and also bouncy castles, music and ice cream and burgers available the event will be running from 12pm until 4pm with entry on the door at £1 per adult kids go free, please contact Richard Griggs 0n 07969897551 for more details.

hi everyone, decided to make a late entry to the strong man 102+kg, Bodybuilder to strong man in 4 weeks good going, pressures on this year got my title to defend Lol! should be a good day out it was last year. good luck to everyone involved see you all on the day i will be kitted out in full MT gear

Hello where u the guy taking the photos?I entered Bruce with the red vest the judges said i lost by 1 point which i knew was wrong as we had 31 points each they then looked at score sheet and realised that they missed out an event when adding the scores up which made marcin ahead by 1 point, Congratulations great competitor to Marcin and all winners & had a great day

Sorry I didn't make it yesterday folks. I know some of you were speaking to Tom and asking after me. I had some sort of bug yesterday sweating but shivvering

so I really didn't want to come over. So sorry to those what wanted to have a chat.

I heard about the event though and so well done to Rich for organising it.

We did donate some T shirts and I gave a free diet plan package - so if the winner of that wants to email me, I'll get onto it.

Well done to Tom for coming a close second though.

And thanks to Mark Felix for wearing an MT T shirt!

Anyways,i quite enjoyed myself at this event and i wish i had taken part now knowing that i would have managed the lifts at least once.

Well done to both organisers and the guys taking part. It was good to see Mark Felix(it was Mark Felix?)there.
