i hope James doesnt mind this but i used Liquid Sun Rayz for my show on Sunday at the UKBFF South Coast. I only needed 3 coats and i was dark enough, the colour is a more natural brown than the orange hue you often see in other tanning products. I will indeed be using this again. Quality product! I am not sponsored by LSR either, i paid to use it and would gladly pay again so i am not biased for those e-cynics lol. Even one day after the show and a good percentage showered off, i was left with a natural looking tan.

Can only recommend this product myself Both my girlfriend and I used the product. On first application she went red and i green but after 30 mins of drying time we both went the same shade brown. So dont be alarmed if you have the same experience as me, as it does go a brilliant dark colour. I put this down to my natural milky white skin colour. I wont hesitate in using this product again for my next show Lee Williams 3 x British Champ

welshy, doing it DIY is good and you can achieve a decent color but spray tanning is def the way forward for an even consistent coat as well

I used this product last year with no previous tanning training my other half applied it with a roller and i was more than pleased with my end colour, we applied two coats on the day before the show and one on show day, as said before showers of over time and you are left with a natural looking tan, and i am fair and gostly white normally. I will be using it again thats for sure

Well did the one coat this morning, and I am casper the ghost! Really nice colour, a little trickier to apply at first than the Jan Tana, found the best way is to spray almost like you're spraying a car then blending with the roller Very pleased ! I think as Aaron said, better result if you get it done with a spray tan thingy but great colour and dries very quickly with no stickyness Looking forward to going into work tomorrow nicely tanned LOL !

A tip Welshy, when applying it to the face use a make-up sponge or something similar to blend , hard to roller your face.

Hi Lee, The Best way to combat the redness is to make a paste with the bodyscrub and baking soda, apply this to the skin first it balances the PH in the skin

Welshy , I would recommend a professional spray tan , applying it yourself needs someone with a bit of expertise to be fair. to create an even tan. The product can be put into any spray tan machine. As long as the technician has experience with Competition tanning. Good luck with your show this year , saw your pictures on FB and you look amazing x

I'll be using you for the BNBF Centrals but also doing the BNBF Welsh and don't know anyone in the area doing competition tans unless you have a contact in that area ? .. Trial run did go ok with just the one coat however so not feeling too nervous at all about doing it myself... well I say myself, husband has that task Thanks for your lovely comment, hoping to do better this season x Hazel A tip Welshy, when applying it to the face use a make-up sponge or something similar to blend , hard to roller your face. Rollering your face does look funny though LOL ! .. I applied a bit with a mitt then blended with roller but did think myself afterwards that a makeup sponge would be good - thanks for the tip

When i was at the Leicester show i saw the competitors who had been tanned by Nicola Gilbert using Liquid Sun Rayz. Their colour stood out a mile in the line ups on stage so i thought i would try it for my guest spot at the Bedworth show. I really was impressed. The colour looks so good on stage - it is so dark that i cant see how you can ever get your colour wrong and look too pale on stage. I only needed two coats and as it went on so easily and dried quickly, you can put the coats on more or less one after the other. Furthermore when i then applied sheen over the top of the tan it didnt run or streak. I wont be using any other tan from now on. I cant fault it. I thought i would put up comparison pics of being on stage using Liquid Sun Rayz and when i have used another tan.

The top picture is Liquid Sun Rayz which was so easy to put on 2 coats in one day and is dry to the touch. The bottom picture took me three days to get 3 coats on and was very messy real problems with streaking.

I'm starting to look at tans too, BNBF recommend Show Off tan how does LSR compare? By the way I am naturally very fair, and using sunbeds is a waste of time for me. Not sure how that influences which tan I choose. The first show I'll do is out of the way, and quite small so no chance of the tanning booth being there!

You can always take the Liquid Sun Rayz to a local salon and ask them to spray you the day before, if you are very fair you may want 3 coats, but it dries very quickly. There is also a self-applicating mousse if you prefered. Preparing the skin the week before will help the tan take to your skin. You may want to use your first show as a test but we have had good feeback from competitors regarding the colour and application.
