Little Fat Loss Tips? 22 November 2011 11:20 (permalink)
is there a list of things we can do or take that will help to loose fat?

I'm thinking of little things that when all added together might have a noticeable impact.

Like maybe drinking green tea, eating celery, etc

Carnitine sounds like it might be something to add to the list, anyone tried it?

What else is there?

Eat less, move more. Lol only messing here are the things I can't do without.

Fasted sscv cardio - always works for me

Green tea - don't think it does much. I use it as a replacement for normal tea and coffee to help keep calories down

Caffeine tablets - gets you through the hardest of energy lulls

Pre work out drinks (jack3d, no xplode etc)

I always try and cut at the same time as my training partner and make a competition out of it.

Be interesting to see what others come up with.

Use sweetners and drink green tea myself but if your looking for a miracle 'get thin supplement' I don't think there is one.

Eat below your maintainance, work hard and be strict with what your eating, it has worked for me thus far.

Thanks I wasn't looking for a silver bullet, just some little thing that might add up to amount for something.

Maybe drinking water when you are hungry to fill you up for a bit.

I'm sure men's health/cosmo do such a list each month!

I'd love to do fasted am cardio but can't ATM but have asked Santa for an exercise bike for chrimbo. Not looking likely though!

There is good evidence behind green tea, I believe it can increase metabolic rate by around 100 cals per day. CLA also has a small effect, so of the standard array of supplements on the market a combined Green Tea/CLA supplement may be the best bet, though only if it contained adequate doses of each.

          Carnitine is completely useless though.

Without doubt the best way to lose it, is through diet. I'm am totally in awe of how a good eating plan can work.

I just wish I knew how important it was years ago when I was training, keep getting asked how I lost all the weight, some exercise and being very strict and committed to a very good eating plan, wouldn't call it a diet any more, just a way of eating.

I'm sure other things help a little along the way but eating right is so important.

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of "little ways" to help you loose weight, people like to look for any little tricks but in the long run it all comes down to good diet and consistent training.

                    No? that sounds interesting though!

one thing i tried which helps the sugar cravings after meals are the dessert chewing gums from wrigleys - USA only but got some on ebay for £1.99 (16 pieces i think). really really nice flavours! though im not a massive fan of chewing gum.

glass of water helps too, atleast for me. i find if i get through 20 mins of post meal im not craving anymore, then have casein before bed.

                    teaspn of peanut butter

casein protein is a nice filler as reflex's 1 serv goes in 450ml, quite a big old drink!

espresso on an empty stomach will kill your appetite fast. smoking too (but i dont recommend that obviously!!! took me years to quit!)

other thing i do is make a chocolate protein cake and have some of that.

                    ultimately SASUK is 100% right.

other tips - cardio in the morning - anything even 5 mins. Skipping is good, if you live in a flat or no rope then just skip without the rope. kettlebells are great and youre out of breath in minutes. if you have a gdn get yourself a tyre and a sledge hammer, go and have some fun smashing the tyre up :)

dont eat carbs after 7pm (works for me even if i dont excercise and eat like crap! which i dont ofcourse anymore). you can load up on greens like hell, even a whole bowl full.

i drink green tea at night for years, dont think it has any effect on weight loss personally although it is a good drink to cleanse the system - caffeine free is better.

have you tried CLA? i know its debatable, but honestly ive started taking it again and whether its placebo or not im starting to drop again! could be i just need more good fats, but hey im on a roll so... no complaints at £16 for 40 days supply.

Yes, I use it on my clients.  Minty taste and the psycological aspect that cleaning teeth is the last thing you put in your mouth.  It's an excellent tip.

Haha made me laugh that did. Tips from me would be to have set meal times, Sweetners instead of sugars, drink water instead of juice.. etc

I drink red bush tea to fill me up when cutting. Like green tea without caffine and has a nutty flavour. Gives me a little bit more of a filling sensation than just water. Got some good antioxidents in it.

Faux Real - Can't you do any jogging / fast walking outside for fasted sscv? It is more effective than sitting on an exercise bike and costs nothing.
