What does your waist usually weigh when you compete. That's so tiny now given your height!! Mine's the same but I'm a short arse.

      lol @ flick ;-)

Well my waist is 26.5 normally. So i've lost about an inch and a half so far.
At the British finals my waist was 24inches during the final few weeks... which at the time was kinda strange. I mean I haven't had a waist that small since I was about 14 LOL. Ah well - it'll soon spring back post diet.

I've just trained back, and I've got in and I feel totally wiped out.
      Today I did:
      4 X lat pull down (D bar)
4 X Hammer strength pull down machine (around 15kg plate each side)
      4 X Barbell rows (20kg)
      4 X Low pulley row (between 35-35kg)

Oh I did calfs too.. My calfs don't need too much work! So I did 5 X 20 on the standing calf raise machine. I guess I was using about 100lbs... so I think thats about 45kg ish.

My work out today was slightly different than i'd planned because some of the kit I wanted wasn't available. Never the less it worked well because my back is aching so much already.

Following this I did 30 minutes on the arc trainer.

        Hey :)

I'm totally exhausted from training at the moment! ack! diet and training is actually starting to catch up with me and i'm aching all over... actually to be fair its mostly my legs.... I remember what Kim used to tell me "keep your legs moving" and I certainly abide by this rule. However my poor old legs are aching so much..!

Well I have just trained quads today and next week I have a girly from this forum joining me for my quad work out! This will be fab, i'm so excited. I hope she enjoys the pain hehehe x

Hehe, diet defo getting to me I think.

I love the arc trainer but you don't see them around much and they take up too much floor space for me to want one for my little set up.

Oh......I wonder who the girly is....are you able to divulge and will you have someone to take piccies?

              lol nooo

Ok, hopefully she won't mind.... hififi is coming down to train quads with me.. it'll be a fun work out!

I've just trained chest and tri's tonight, and did about 35 minutes of cardio afterwards. Wasn't really feeling my work out tonight, just didn't feel right. I always find it hard towards the end of the week and i'm looking forward to my day off weight training. Like I said earlier i've been aching a lot lately.

I decided to post a picture of me at 10 weeks out... so here you are. Sorry my eyes are shut lol.

I am leaner than this now as it's approaching 7 week out stage.

Yep! i'll be coasting into the show now to be honest. I hadn't expected to come into condition so quickly. My abs and upper body do lean up quickly.. but I will have to wait longer for my legs to come in.

I'm going to see Kimberley soon, as she will give me her verdict on how i'm looking.

Definitely learn to love it! I eat clean all year round, makes it far easier when dieting for a show i've found. The one thing I miss is a good indian! :( I am missing my chicken tikka masala soooooooo badly. LOL xx

                              Thanks Micky!!

I'm coasting a little at the moment to make sure I don't come in leaner yet.

I've actually altered my leg training slightly and training with slightly more resistance... Well I guess hififi will be able to report on my quad work out when she arrives next week.

I have trained hams on Sat.. really enjoyable workout... :) I basically did..
                              4 X 10-15 reps.
                                  Wide stance squats
                                  Lying leg curls
                                  Single leg standing curls
                                  Swiss ball ham curls

Hmm.. this really hurt to be honest. My hamstrings are killing today.. Power walking was very hard work this morning, although I pushed through. Wasn't my usual quick pace though..!

This evening I have just done 30 minutes on my cross trainer at home.. just trying to chill a little before the monster work out planned tomorrow. We have a few competitors coming to our gym and a harsh work out is planned! can you believe it, on a bank holiday as well lol.

Today I have trained glutes to failure.. I trained in the morning so I was feeling full of energy after breakfast.
My glute training was horrendous......!!!!!! I was doing kickbacks into 30 reps or so... following my work out I went shopping around town with a friend and my poor glutes were killing me lol.

I've had a bit of a difficult diet day today because I was out all day long. I always try and prepare myself for this because it's a complete change to my routine, although some of my meals were out of order and timed slightly different, so this evening I am actually feeling a bit rough. I almost feel a little hypoglycemic, but i'm resting up and hopefully i'll be fine once i've slept.

Anyway, just a little update. Hope everyone elses' contest prep is going well

                                      Loving this journal!

How much does your training change in a run up to a comp?
