Low Fat Peanut Butter, It's Real! 26 November 2011 10:07 (permalink)
Well I ordered Peanut Flour, 2 weeks later BAM, it's at my door.
All it is is defatted peanut flour, so when crushed rather than turning to a batter it turns to a flour.

30g of flour

Added about 10-15ml too much water, was slightly runnier than peanut butter.  I had the perfect consistency and got greedy.  This worked out 78g, i reckon at perfect consistency you would get about 60-65g of paste.
I added some salt to taste.

And the macros!

Just put this in a sandwhich, was great.
I add the flour to my porridge, so good.

Yes sir, couldn't find it anywhere in the UK.
      Was only $4 for postage.

Just order 1 at a time to avoid import tax.

Lol, I'll stick to importing if that's the case, came to $12.79 inc delivery which comes to around £8.30
And you get nearly 2kg of low fat peanut butter from it.

So it's slightly cheaper than Whole Earth PB.

Pretty good. I need to order some kit from iHerb anyway so may sling a few bags in there for giggles

Have you been hit for import tax from iherb before?
I ordered a few things and never got charged.

But made a large order of about $90 and had to pay about £12 tax on top, still worked out cheaper than getting the stuff here though.

I think if the value goes above £15 you get charged, but I also tracked delivery which might have contributed but I'm not sure.

Never got stung before at all. I think theyve also reduced the personal allowance recently to £12. It always went via post though. Things like DHL or UPS etc i get hit big time.

I cant get the stuff i need over here so i get it in the USA. Its affordable and good quality IME

Iherb mate, as I said don't order more than one in each order or you'll get hit for tax.

I just mixed half a serving with a serving of options Belgian hot chocolate powder. Was sooo nice, tasted like nutella!

Anyone know if you can get de-fatted almond flour? (Google doesn't seem to indicate that you can!)

I thought the whole point of eating peanut butter was the fat content?

If you want the fat yeah, but just say you want the taste of peanut butter but without the excess calories?

I prefer to get my calories from carbs over fat.  I still get plenty of fat, but meet my requirement easy and i really enjoy the taste of peanut butter.  Now I can have equivilent to about 150g a day, instead of it taking up 893 calories and 75g of fat (pretty much my daily intake) it takes up about 293 calories.

                            Yes please.

Why does dieting have to be hard?

I was eating what I was eating what I wanted recently on a mini-cut and it worked pretty well.  Just fitted everything in my macros.

Just wanted to lose 7lbs as I'm still pretty light, successfully did that in 4 weeks.

I see a lot of people on stage claiming to be in shape and DIETING on over 5,000 calories, that isn't dieting.
It shows when they step on stage however.
