Lowest Calorie Alcoholic Drink

Anyone know what the lowest calorie alcoholic drink or drink with mixer is? I'm not a huge drinker, but do like to go out and don't want to be the sort that doesn't go out and have fun because of not wanting to drink due to the calories in a pint of larger etc, but I do want to go out and enjoy a few drinks when I feel like it, knowing that I'm not consuming 100's of calories per drink or 1000's of calories of an evening.

I've been told G&T, Vodka/Soda are low, but are they the lowest?

I've asked this question before and also seen a few posts that relate to it.

The best alcoholic drinks with low calories are - Vodka Tonic, Vodka Diet Coke/Lemonade Gin and Tonic.

Im not really a big fan of vodka myself but when im on a night out and want to keep the calories down i usually go for a vodka diet coke, only thing is, i can get drunk quite quickly!

Lowest of the low as far as i know is G&T

Vodka + Diet Coke is the one that I go for as it doesn't taste like a hangover cure (soda water yuck!) and is low in cals

Spirits like vodka and gin etc are around 50cals a shot, so that with a diet mixer is your best bet.

Worth considering the health benefits that you can get from the non-spirit beverages, ale, wine, etc. A few beers a night is shown to be good for health, I'm not sure if the same is true for vodkas?

Other angle is to drink 'til you can't move, then the next day it is unlikely you will want to face food. Net result, neutral calorie intake over the 2 days

Any neat spirit (Obviouly not baileys etc) so Vodka, Whisky, Sambuka etc.
Although alcohol is 9kcal/gram so theyre not exactly 'low calorie'.

Then mixed with diet coke, light redbull and other sugar free drinks.

"If it tastes like ****, its probably low in calories" :D

The way I see it is if I'm gonna nail a bottle of vodie on the town, a litre and a bit of coke is hardly going to make that much difference over sugar free stuff

    7kcal per gram for alcohol

    Fibre - 2kcal
    Carb - 4kcal
    Pro - 4kcal
    Alc - 7kcal
    Fat - 9kcal

So for any 40% spirit, you're looking at ~280kcal/100ml, so a shot is about 70kcal (it's going to be a little different to that, but I can't be bothered working out the density of an alcoholic spirits at this time in the day...)
