MP or branded

just been looking around for some protein and you can but 10lb branded whey and isolate for the same price as MP now. i used to use mp cause it weas cheaper but now its around the same as most branded proteins.... dymatize is 10lb £60 free p&p on ebay, other proteins are £60-70 fr 10lb, 5kg mp is £60-70 also then p&p on top.. doesnt look like your getting much more anymore.... the whole point of using unbranded supps is that there suposed to be cheaper, MP seems imo to have become its own brand, it doesnt look any dif from any other brand imo, i think its lost it leading edge price wise anyway

Perhaps the MP brand has now moved on and now consider themselves as premium? Not sure, I used to use MP for everything but only get my fish oils and vitmains from them now.

maybe they just want more money like the rest lol they have price cuts etc wrote on there site, but imo there protien anyway is no cheaper than branded protein if you look around. i think they assume people will still pay more for there supps are there seen as clean sups with no hidden extras in like you can get with branded etc but maybe thats just prople slating branded to push you to buy form guys like mp as they WERE cheaper, but thats not going to keep them custom i dont think, i think they have lost the edge they had.

Mp are still very cheap. Perhaps the brand you mentioned have just become cheaper rather than MP getting expensive. Compare 10lb of reflex, gaspari or CNP to myprotein and see the difference. I see mp as a budget priced premium brand personally. Dont forget MP price matcher so if you see a good deal else where MP will match the price and you can be sure of the quality.

The normal MP stuff mixes really well and tastes OK When I used gaspari etc it tasted lovely but the mix was annoying which limited what I could do with it i.e. cooking and throwing it down my neck at light speed.

So Mp is 53.50 or reflex at 75 or gaspari at 70? Still 20-30% cheaper! Plus price matches from companies selling at a loss (or what ever other companies do lol) Price of whey has gone up massively! Obviously the branded ones could not increase their prices as much as that would price themselves out of the market. MP have had to increase their prices sure but their prices are fair. Bulk powders are a reasonable alternative to MP with good prices and good quality.

MP IS a BRAND. It's been said before that the buying power of some 'brands' is, in fact, greater than most bulk 'no frills' brands and on that basis any no frill product the names produced ought to be cheaper. Closest example is MaxiRaw/Maximuscle. There is also an argument, probably indicative here, that the more mainstream (a better term I think), the bigger budgets get spent on wages, overheads, ads and sponsorship etc. That's without mentioning margins for reps, shops and so on (MM is in Tesco's, Asda's and the like. Less diret sales means there has to be a margin for resellers.

You can get CFM WPI (Unflavoured) for £10 a kg (if you get 16kgs - 4 x 4kgs). I used their FLEX3 discount code and get £20 off that price! ie £8 a kg. And that was delivered dpd free. Hard to beat that!!
