Riocat Good news on the Mrs front mate. Nice benching as well cheers fella.. yeah its kinda perked me up nicely!! dirty- i know wat ya mean.. i suppose as long as it caters ur strength, then the gym will be as good as u make it!! unless u have some t1ts actin up.. but i suppose a place like that would be fairly strict etc so not much of that happenin?!!

The gym I'm at now is a works one so during the day it's pretty quiet and when I often go in for a session it's only me. I have to turn the lights on and everything and I'm really starting to enjoy it. I train in the power rack too so know if I fail a lift I'll be safe but there's a handy pull cord next to it which will alert security if I end up stapled under the bar!! The only problem really is unracking the bar. So I'm very impressed with your unspotted 150kg bench press!! Also 60kg incline pressing? - Incredible Bulk better watch over his shoulder as you're fast catching him up on his 68.18kg incline presses

haha.. cheers fella!! yeah i was surprised i unracked it myself, and normally i wouldnt attempt 150k just incase it was a slight off day and i wasnt able to get it, but they were nice and slow, controlled reps, but yeah dint fance bein stapled under neath it! but a 3rd was mine! yeah i reckon i could get the 60's on incline at the moment, did 50's for 9-10 reps after a v heavy shoulder session so i reckon it can happen :-)!! bulk is goin up in weight every week so it'll be some task t catch him!! the pullchord sounds good... although i would hope that the security would be pretty quick..!! trainin in an empty gym would be awesome!! do u scream and everythin..?? haha

the pullchord sounds good... although i would hope that the security would be pretty quick..!! trainin in an empty gym would be awesome!! do u scream and everythin..?? haha Security is about 5 minutes away so not the best method of quickly getting out from under a bar!!! Having the gym to myself is pretty good and as far as noises go, grunting, yelling, going "urgghhhhh", and the odd motivational "stop ****ing around you pussy and lift it" can be safely uttered without disparaging glances from any other members.

ok so i havent trained since monday!! think i needed a few days off.. been a bit up and down this wk! plus the weather has me on a real downer!!! its so frickin cold when i go to train in the evenings it really puts me off!! anyway, just got back from my session- OHP-strict press- 60x5 70x5 75x3 80x3 82.5x3 85x2 85x2 Push press- 85x3 87.5x3 90x3 90x2 INCLINE BENCH- 100x7 100x6, 30 secs, 5 DB ROW- 55x10x2 65x8 UPRIGHT ROW- 60x10x2 EZ BAR CURLS- 50x8 60x7,50x3 30x12 <--- v srict with close grip! CABLE REAR LATERAL- 25kx15 was a decent session! dint feel overly strong with the overhead pressing tho.. i got 92.5 last wk, was hoping for 95k today.. its ok tho!! not feelin 100% so all in all i shouldnt complain! supposed to be goin out tonight but i really cant be arsed !! the weather is sh1te and its now v nice and warm in my apartment... i should have done a little tri work today too, maybe some CGBP or dips.. will do them next upper session!

Still a nice session there, mate, and loads of pressing so the tris weren't exactly left unaccounted for. You could probably get away with some larger jumps. You do a lot of work staying very close to your max weight.... 80 then 85 on your strict and 85 to 90 on your Push would probably have left enough in the bank for a solid 95 too

Nowt wrong with staying round your max (preps you up nicely), I warm up close to it but I do keep my reps down the closer I get (i.e. a 100kg bench might include a 90kg warm up but only for half the normal reps) - it's just that you do what, 8 sets all within 10kilos, I reckon you can play with that to give yourself more on a final set or 2

ur probs right actually mate!! suppose i was just thinkin more along the lines of makin sure i complete 3 reps for each weight! when i can only get 2, i'll maybe try one more set at that weight then leave it and try beat it the wk after! i undersstand totally tho!! its just quite hard tho as warmin up with 60 k, im already within 25-30k of my max, so i suppose i like t get there quick and then save some energy for the heavier sets... however, ur point is def taken on board.. will look into it next wk!!

You usually do Push Press after another exercise don't you? Why not hit PP first in the session then finish with strict Military Press (standing or seated)? PP involves a little more technique rather than just sheer brute strength (but obviously that helps!!) so maybe a little work on getting under the bar rather than muscling it up (I'm assuming that's the problem here as I don't know how you perform PP)

with PP, i have dabbled with gettin in a big push rom the legs, but seem to do better with a shorter, more explosive/conmcentrated push! so not much f a ben din the knee, but just quicker and more explosive and that works much better.. with the PP mate, yeah ur right, a lot of it is technique so thats somethin that should hopefully just get better as time goes on.. i could try strict press after the push press, i just feel i wanna hit the strict oress whilst delts and tris are fresh but i see ur point mate! will try this next time round and see how i get on!! im as much concerned about my strict press as i am push press ya see, so i suppose i could swap it each session in terms of which i do first! shane- im around 106k at the mo.. with ABS!! :-), so im fairly happy.. although i have def put a little fat on since the start of the cycle, (into about wk 2 of pct now).. strength seems to be the same tho!!
