this worries me, my dads a copper and he's on my facebook!! ah well, hopefully the family wont look, and if they do, hopefully they wont notice!! :-) haha....

in all honesty tho, the pic looks worse than i was.. i was 100% fine, just obviously relaxed a la'l bit too much for the pic!! haha..

      yeh there are a few 'slightly' incriminating photos mate! haha..
      anyway, today-

      front squats-
      120x3
      140x2
      150x1 - :-)
      130x5
      Back squats
      120x10*2

      Leg press-
      145x10*2 -- was gonna do 3 sets here but my lower back is fookin killin me..

      Lunges-
      50kx8
      60kx6 --- these were just a time killer while waiting for leg press machine...

      finished with some standing calf raise and hanging leg raise..

      good session, happy wi the front squats.. but im pist wi my lower back... will try me best t get this better as i wanna do more heavy sets..
      all in all tho happy with another 5 k increase on front squats.. back squats felt good too, apoart from lower back feelin as strong as warm chocolate!

        Yeah I've taken an anti FB stance recently due to most people I know in real life's sad behaviour on there. When lads on here are on about it though I feel left out too.
         
        150k fronty, damn I have some cathing up to do. Saying that your miles ahead of me on everything , so why I thought front squats might be different I dont know !

          not really mate, ur overhead wrk is pretty much the same as mine is it not?!
          but yeh im happy wi my FS progress...
          was hoping for a 140 single at tony's a while back but now i have a 150, i'll be maybe hoping for a 160.. we'll see..
          i like FB, but im a student so im supposed to.. but i do get pist with it sometimes, people checkin up on what ur doin, ex's etc.. can cause a lot of trouble!!

            That's some serious FSing. My best was a 140 for 4, never braved putting 150 on.

            RE the leg press. Have you tried doing single leg, it may take the stress off the lower back

                  ok so back has been awful since tuesaday's session, however im a stubborn cnut and dont wanna miss sessions, so will be doin delts and CGBP instead of hams and back..
                  will do that tomorro if back is ok, if not then it will prob just be lying leg curls followed by chest supported rows, chins and shrugs, with some curls thrown in at the end.
                  really couldnt handle SLDL's today at all, probs wont be able to tomorro either..
                  just hopin it isnt serious.. seems t be easin up a bit.. but just feels so tight, especially when i lean forward, in my lumbar region.. which is where ive always had my problems with my back!!!

                  anyway, today should be

                  Standing BB press
                  seated arnie press
                  CGBP and then some side lateral to finish

                    A 150kg front squat is very nice mate.

                    Has you gym not got a 45 degree leg press? I find that takes all the pressure off the lower back.

                      nah just has a sh1tty lifefitness machine or wat ever theyre called... the sled ones!
                      i dont use that much to be honest..
                      thinkin of doin maybe 5-6 working sets on fronties then switch to backies afterwards, then maybe just a few sets of leg press t finish.. rather than use it as a main execise!

                              90x3
                              100x4
                              105x1+2 push presses
                              110x1 push press
                              90x8
                              90x5

                              Seated Arnie press-DB's
                              30kx12
                              30kx10*3

                              finished with some lateral raise and rope pushdowns. was supposed t do some CGBP, but al benches were taken.. not too fussed really.. just tryin t throw them in for some extra pressing assistance!

                              hapy wi that tho.. 100x4 is a PB, and 110 overhead is also a weight PB so happy days!!

                                Bloody hell, you're back already. Now I don't think you train at all, you just right down any old crap that you know will piss me off LOL

                                Very nicely done, the only guys I have seen or know who can put over 100 above their head are either Olympic standard C+J ers or 18+stone on juice. Good lifting.

                                  haha... in all honesty mate, the trainin seemed to have helped it!!
                                  i was doin no bendin over/ liftin so it was ok in that respect.. but it seemed to have eased off a bit.. maybe i just need t get out on my feet more durin the day while its bad rather than try take my weight off it..

                                  this P-Plex seems to be kickin in... been takin it almost a wk now and definately felt it int gym today.. strength is up, lookin bigger, pump was extreme as well..
                                  and yeh back early, was a fairly quick session.. better that way tho :-) quite fancied doin some CGBP but never mind..

                                  i think with push pressing its down to technique too.. i think if i can get my flexibility impreoved so i can stay under the bar as i bend my knees more, ill be able to get more drive thru the bar, rather than havin t lean forward to compensate for my tight as f*ck hams and calves.. so i'll be workin on this over the next few wks as it will def help my back too..

                                    When my back's playing up, the worse thing I can do sometimes is rest it. Get it moving, get the blood flowing and it seems to sort itself out.

                                    If you haven't got a roller, then use a hard ball (medicine balls work, too well). Sit on the floor, place one leg on top of the ball an droll yourself backwards and forwards. Do that for a minute on each leg and then stretch it out. If still tight then give the hams and glutes a brief roll just before you train and that may help. I used to do this when my calves lifted when squatting. Rolled them out for 30secs and my feet were flatter than Tara Palmer Thompson

                                      yeh im definately gonna have t buy a roller..
                                      having more flexible hams and calves is definately gonna help me with things like squats and deads, plus will help take so much pressure off my lower back!! theyre so tight that as soon as i lean over, my lower back just bows straight out! not good.. and a sure fire way t injury!!

                                        agree that training can often help if you're backis tight ..think the increased blood flow helps loosen things up.  Mr M ..if you've got any spare cash (I know you're a poor student' go and see a good osteo or chiro to dosomework on your back ..it can really help.  Failing that I'm sure a man like you can find a little hottie to walk up and down on your back ..it might not help but it'll feel good ;)
