80x6 -- feelin it today due to only a day in between chest and shoulders day. tris were sore

seated DB press-
36x10
42x10
46x7
46x5

finished with some DB lateral raises.

good session, felt good apart from sore tris from chest day on tuesday.. still managed some good numbers tho.. ahppy with the DB seated press too... i reckon there is a set on the 50k DBs in me somewhere.

may switch it over in the next month or so and do heavy seated DB press, with some higher rep OHP stuff after, just as a change..
anyway, happy with it as cals have been restricted mucho this wk, only carb sources comin from 4 weetabix in the mornin with my shake for breakie and then oatcakes throughout the day.. so probably only consuming around 150g carbs max, and thats like the extreme end.. usually looking at around 120g of carbs a day.. probs around 100g fats too with around 300g of protein.. cant bring myself to do much cardio yet so once that is introduced i'll bring cals back up again and let the cardio burn off the extras.. :-)
gonna go have a nice carb/ protein meal now tho cos i feel a tad drained!

    You're not gonna run the low cals and cardio thru PCT are you....?

    Kiss any gains good-bye if you do - take it from someone who has walked the walk on that front. Low cals and surplus cardio during PCT do not mix.

      nah im gonna up the cals for pct but will add in a couple of light ish cardio sessions if i can!
      dont forget im gonna be quadruple super duper mega dosing creatine... :-) ha..

            mate im more inclined to do strongman now than BBin to be honest.. switched the routine up about 4-5 wks ago to focus on strength and im lovin it..
            tryin to bring some more condition in at th emoment too. Like mars, im wantin to stay between 100k-105k in bodyweight, so yeh strongman would definately be somehtin id be interested in mate..
            think i could have had 105x3, but that would have left me gassed and robs had to go below 100 for another triple so decided on 2 sets at 100k.. think i got 105x3 last wk i cant remember.. but yeh pressin is goin well at the moment.. had gains everywhere which is great its just my back squat i need to improve.. and then when my back feels right im gonna get back on the deadlifting wagon....
            ah, and cheers for the PM- will get back to u today bout that mate.. there might already be some plans made for sunday but i really quite fancy it to be honest so will let u know today :-) cheers fella

              Definately got some decent strength to give it a go, fella. Considering where you are without necessarily being 100% devoted to the specifics of strength work (hope you don't take that the wrong way) if you really turned your hand to it the result would be good I am sure!

                not at all fella, i totally agree... i still mix in higher rep stuff on other exercises for the hypertrophy aspect of trainin.. but im determined to say with low reps on the big lifts on each day
                bench
                OHP
                squats
                CGBP
                and when i feel ready- deads.

                every thin else on each day now i see as 'hypertrophy accessory'.. i think i am more geared towards strength trainin.. i seem to make good progress with strength gains so im gonna stick with it. would be greta t have a bash at a comp one day, would just mean that i would need t obviously get my arse into gear regarding actual event trainin..
                anyway, im gonna stick with the current plan for the rest of the yr (which for me is a massive commitment) :-) haha. and take things from there really.. but will be headin to tony's soon, and may even be gettin involved in some olympic gym sessions too... i think it is definately needed!! :-)

                  High reps still have their place in strength work (well, high intensity does) you still need some lactic tollerance, particularly with strongman stuff.

                  And obviously, you'll still gain size no problem I'm sure. After that it's just about a) what condition you like to be in and/or b) what condition is suitable for the training/comps you do.

                    i do like to finsh the sessions with a bit of higher rep stuff too.. nice little pump t leave the gym with :-)
                    i wanna try get pretty low in terms of BF at some point, but will ideally like to be around 17st at around 12% bf.. will be tough t maintain that i suppose, but with cardio and plenty of food i can tsee it bein too much of an issue in the long run.
