Amazing work Flanders - and thanks for your help along the way! Your journal diet has always been a work of art and it goes to show exactly how consistancy and hard work pay off. As mentioned, getting anything done with kids is a task in itself but you've smashed this. Very well done. Are you going to treat yourself to a few extra sugar free jellies now?

Great work man but whats your plans now. Are you happy with that weight and BF or will you be building more lan mass. How do you feel being at that weight now.

Cardifflad Amazing work mate. Very well done Cheers buddy... Wheels Very impressive mate. Are you happy with where you are now, or do you plan to get even better? I'm planning on competing again next year... but need to pack on some quality mass and the bulk has already started, plenty of decent clean food!! tubbyman Amazing work Flanders - and thanks for your help along the way! Hey Tubbyman, my pleasure... it was great to see your transformation during the SUC... you came in pretty tight in the end... looking good! Cheers, the diet's alway been pretty easy to follow for me as I love to eat clean... although I did eat a little too much clean food in the last year and piled on a little too much chub making prep that little bit harder but also effected the amount of lean mass I retained. Lol.. still having sugarfree jelly every night... a staple whether cutting or bulking. keyser soez 2010 Great work man but whats your plans now. Thank you, after seeing James on saturday just gone we've decided that i'll compete again next year and therefore wasting no time have started the bulk diet... need to pack on some quality mass to be competitive... so yes looking to build some more mass... I feel great at this weight, but I am 10kg heavier than what I was on stage.
Make every week count!!.. Train hard!! Diet harder!! Never give up!!

Flanders, at any point during your journey did you have to alter your programme in order to get to super leanness? In other words, did you basically do pretty much the same thing right down to six pack territory or did you find at some point you needed to change things e.g.more cardio, lower calories?

In other words, did you basically do pretty much the same thing right down to six pack territory or did you find at some point you needed to change things e.g.more cardio, lower calories? To get seriously lean... it was all about increasing the cardio, to the point that I was doing between 120 + 150 minutes per day 6 times a week . Diet was gradually adjusted down from around 20 weeks out but once I got to around 9 weeks out the diet was exactly the same up until 4 days out from the show.... just increased cardio!!...

I've been over weight most of my adult life with numerous attempts of getting in shape.... Joining the gym and jacking after a month, crash dieting etc... I've learnt later on in life that there isn't a magic formula, it takes consistency and hard work... But once you reach your goal... WOW, it doesn't get any better!! and all that hard work and effort has been completely worth it!! The picture in the opening post on the left I was 36 and I got up on stage at the age of 38.... So I'd say it's never too late fella, set your goal and chase the dream!!

Cheers Burney... i'll be 39 in a couple of weeks ... if there is one regret it would be that I wished I had found this lifestyle 20 years ago... But nevermind, i've still got a few years of competing in me... and now i've thought about it I could enter the over 40's category next year .

Awesome transformation, mate. That is simply outstanding work - especially from the back - you're as hard and dry as toast in a desert there. How has your perception of yourself changed as a person in making this transformation, and has your confidence been boosted away from the gym?

Hats off to you, mate! An amazing transformation! I've done strict diets myself but always give in around 8-10 weeks as I just seem to end up as a smaller version of my fat self. Did you go through this and do u have any tips on getting through it?
I'm here to attain not maintain

Did you go through this and do u have any tips on getting through it? Cheers odyysey... I had numerous attempts at getting in shape over the years but would always fail, it was done to knowledge and self belief more than anything.... after spending some time on muscletalk and learning more about diet and not starving yourself I got the bug so to speak and really wanted to progress!!.. taking measurements keeping track of progress helped, the biggest help though was taking on a challenge helped, for example I did the MT SUC in Jan 2010 and I progressed really well and achieved the best condition of my life at the time... then with more inspiration by other members on here I took the decision to compete and again this gave me the motivation to succeed...
