Deadline are deadlines - but rules are made to be bent  so long as not broken.

Starting the shapeup late within reason is like being distract and missing the start of the 400m - all it does is put the participant at a disadvantage.

If somebody posts in another week or so then tough the ship has sailed. Rules are rules in this kind of case to stop any bitching about somebody winning who broke a rule at the start.

I'd be very surprised if any other contestant actually objected for any other reason than being awkward - but that's just my view on it

What if you dont have the internet at home and dont own a digital camera, can you understand the difficulty then and, maybe, understand that its not just a bull**** excuse?

Yeah, and then most of them end up making a bankruptcy thread on MT.
 
I do have a phone with a camera (never used it) and the internet (only ever used it for transport). However, I have no idea how I would use the two to make pictures of me appear on MT.

It's a shame for those who did miss the deadline, but the announcements were made weeks ago and if you foresaw a problem, then you should have raised it last week, or the week before, or the week before that.

Doing this sort of thing is Hazel's job, but she spent hours on Sunday and Monday evening doing the pics in her own time.  Next time we will be encourging people to upload their own pics - we'll write a clear step by step method of doing it.

Great to see it's so popular and I hope you all make great improvements.  This is, IIRC, the forth time we've run it, and due to it's popularity this time, next time we'll promote it to companies and offer even better/more prizes!

Running the SUC is a lot of work believe me, I spent many hours on it for the last one and so did Hazel, look at the amount of photos that have to be dealt with for starters.  Hazel is doing a sterling job
