So here we are just under 5 weeks now to go! must admit Im feeling it a bit, Im hungry but then I would be duh, just not used to it dragging as long. This has been a lot longer prep for me but then I need to up my game and I think the effort is paying off as Im leaner at the minute than I was when I did the finals.I think.Doubt creeping in as I type. Anyway James and myself will be meeting up in the next week or so for the final push, sounds like a pregnancy but come Oct 23rd Im just looking forward to getting out there and doing my thing and a nice fat pizza after.Found out the other day I dont have to qualify for the finals again since I won my class, which as little as it sounds is a major relief so I can concentrate on two things next year, the finals again and hopefully the BGP if I get invited. Saw the Olympia and glad Phil won, really J looked a long way off and what was with the bicep-shame to go out like that but Im sure hes not done with competing and touring, like Ronnie he can now look forward to making a fortune on the road. Training for me is almost going through the motions as I dont hava lot of energy now.Walk before breakfast then some oats 60g, and then some more oats before I train 20g but that doesnt give me a lot of fuel especially since Im no carbs from 430pm the day before (2 meals of 40g and 30g rice).Im reading on facebook guys squatting 5 plates 5 weeks out.Just madness, its dieting not building but hey what do I know! I do what works for me and thats ideally staying injury free at this time. Ok gonna get some food and grab some sleep.Update again soon! OLI

As I read it yes, to paraphrase it says "Any British champion need not qualify for ANY British championship as long as they stay loyal to the UKBFF and inform them of their intention to compete" SO yes, uber sweetness.People rag on the inters but winning it brings something in terms of being a champion (sponsors etc) and secondly the added bonus of NEVER having to requalify for the finals. Why go into an open class, cos its "the thing to do", come halfway down the table and gain nothing from it.Dont get it. PIZZA<OMG> OLI I do agree with you on that one, although there will be very few people who are good enough to do what you have done. as by qualifying for the finals as an inter means the following year you will not be able to compete as an inter. So unless you happen to win that year then you don't get that added bonus you have.

Yes very true.In fact a guy competing in the SH at Monster could well do the Io90 and win it IMO but hes dead set on doing SH.In fact there are two, the second guy, Jimmy won the "first timers show" at Bedford (not a UKBFF show) recently where Andy Coulson compared and looked ridiculously good.I mean it was like black and white difference.Hed never competed before. They're out there but not too many! If you are talking about Matt then yes I would agree, he is great shape and I dare say he could win the inter over 90's no problem!!

Great meet up with James last week, hes pleased with progress and ive got my shopping list of water and sweets for the final week, although the deplete doesnt sound fun :-) I feel good, just want to get up there now, 15 weeks has been a long diet for me so Im dreaming about food 24/7 and dreaming about well...dreaming since Im not doing that much at the minute-being on low carbs I just cant sleep much at all which is great for morning cardio but not so great for much else when youre hungry on top :-) Training is the same, 4 weights sessions with the 2 HIIT sessions which I really dont mind, getting to love the sprints on the SM machine-really feel my fitness improving too with them.6 days AM cardio walking and then 30 mins after workouts which is doable but tough. So were nearly there, going to be a great great line up what with Stuart and Daz too, will be cool to stand next to the best and be enjoyng the experience although Ill be enjoying the bit after in Pizza Hut more :-) OLI

Well we made it! First day of carb up as I write this Im feeling like the light has been switched on from the darkness of hideous low carb dieting and 3.5HR a day training, pushing myself through HIIT and freezing my nuts off in the forest at silly o'clock. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys and the show and I really hope you enjoy what were bringing to the table this year-Its gonna be a great lineup through all the classes! See you on the other side! OLI
