I've tried a lot of things, mixing it up, adding ingridients, different textures etc etc but sometimes I find combining it with a cereal you enjoy is good providing the cereal you mix it with isn't too unhealthy. I just chuck in the cold oats as they come, sometimes I'll mix them up with wheatabix, I keep the wheetabix to a minimum and just mix in the oats.

Have you tried making a Bircher museli? Soak rolled oats in apple juice overnight (not so much that they're swimming in the stuff, but enough so they'll soften) then add natural yoghurt, berries and flaked almonds on top...yum! I can't cope with the texture of porridge either (unless I stick in a glug of Baileys but that's really not advisiable) and my daughter loathes the stuff but she loved this this morning. You can add grated apple for extra carbs if you need 'em but a smallish portion of this keeps me happy for a few hrs

I put in 2 scoops of nice tasting protein powder, peanut butter and about 10 sweetners. Does the job for me.

Oatibix, weetibix? why ot just choose a different carb source, Oatibix to me dont even taste much like oats, so might be good for you? could eat oats cold just with milk, if you dont like the texture hot, with sweetener and cinnamon does the trick for me

I know many friends who add oats to whey protein, egg whites etc to a mixer, and neck the lot. You could add some 100% natural strawberry jam (or other).

You could add some 100% natural strawberry jam (or other). x2, whey 50g oats, a bannana and 500ml milk, its nice n thick but not chewy unless you put more than 70g oats in. Cheers p.s 6 wheetabix has approx the same carb content and is lo GI so why not just bag he oats if you don't like them mate and go with this or shreeded wheat?
