Well assuming he knows about dehydrating etc before fights i cant see it ever being an issue tbh for instance lesner fights at nearly 290 but weighs in at 265 i think and let be honest he is the strongest man in the world so shouldnt matter if he loes a few pounds but will be interesting to see how his psyque changes minus the gear

just t tbip2001 Yeah, im not quite sure why people expected him to be good when it was his first fight. People love guys like this to fail...anyone know why.....?? tbip2001 its usually "the bruce lee could kill an army" type person. people just dont like to accept that strength and size has a large impact on fighting ability. Lol, I was wondering if anyone else got where I was coming from. You are exactly right. Alot of the guys who train in martial arts cannot stand to think they can be beaten by someone with little to no experience just through size and strength. Its funny just how much they wanted brock to fail for example. What I will say is, im not sure how serious mariuz is about the MMA though. Anyone know if this was just a curiosity match, or does he intend to make the switch?? tbip2001

His next MMA fight will be in april against 2 times Olympic Champion of JUDO - Pawel Nastula. He is fighting in PRIDE. P.S. To all sceptics- Mariusz had a flu infection and 39'C temperature during the fight(and still was awsome). The infection gets him 4 days before the fight, so he was very "week" during that fight. And he will be still STRONGMAN competitor. Two weeks before the fight he won another strongman competision. I think 1 year of treining with good MMA treiner and he will be good enough to fight against the best MMA FIGHTERS.

he certainly is a machine!! but 1 year training against the best mma fighters!! if were talking the likes of fedor, brock, mir, josh barnet, randy coutue, arlovski then get real,, he hasnt taken a shot yet. just beat up on some guy whos never done any ground work!! the best heavyweights will not be scared of him and will weather the storm and kill him no doubt. i could be totaly wrong but hes certainly an unknown entity for now! id love to see him fight fedor that wd be a laugh

Rasputin will be interesting to see how his psyque changes minus the gear So you think MMA fighters dont use steroids? LOL! Just goes to show, a man with little experience / knowledge of this combat sport can jump into the ring and batter someone. Funny he choose mma and not boxing, in the boxing ring he would have got embarassed lol. His skills are PISS POOR!

I can assure you if his boxing opponent was as handpicked as his MMA opponent, he would batter them, too.

Nope course not Barnett and TS both got busted, winstrol use is common as is GH, though im guessing they wont run anywhere near as heavy cycles as strongmen. Also when fighting outisde the USA drug testing is minimal as it costs a fortune to do and really isnt that great for fighter cardio. Powerhouse mentioned this in his thread after his fight how he feels so much better not using. Speydream you really are a tool if you think that Pudz wouldnt have just torn through a handpicked opponent in the boxing ring, whilst a skilled boxer would have taken him out a journeyman like his opponent would not.

Rasputin Speydream you really are a tool if you think that Pudz wouldnt have just torn through a handpicked opponent in the boxing ring, whilst a skilled boxer would have taken him out a journeyman like his opponent would not. Pudz has no boxing skills whatsoever, if he was put in the ring with even an inexperienced boxer, i guarantee he could easily leave puds gassed. His punches are slow, he doesnt have a jab and no defense. If you havnt already watched his training video on youtube, go watch it. Everything I say is the truth. Ive said it before and i'll say it again, mma = jack of all trades, master of none. Thats why so many inexperienced guys can just jump into the sport late on in their life. It doesnt happen in boxing.

he is crap , even if he landed one on you it wouldnt do any damage, . Power comes with technique and speed and he has neither . TomB holy hell he sucks! no footwork, no cardio, no technique, no skill absolute amateur i could literally run a ring round him i do it to guys that size all the time. all i can say is if he landed one it would be goodnight though. so slow, his trainer looks absolutely rubbish. he needs to work out the dynamics of boxing hes all arms, looks very uncomfortable :/ :/

I would bet money that fight was fixed, he didnt land **** but a few kicks and when he had him on the ground, it almost seemed like he didnt want to hit him properly. Load of ****e

Whats that problem here ha ha We know hes not making himself out to be a great , fair play to the lad for having a go . I myself stated that his punches wouldnt hurt and i stand by that comment . His punches have no speed or snap in them , therefor he wont have any power behind them . Anyone whos done a bit of boxing will agree with this . Also im not saying hes got no strength at all , that would be a foolish thing to say . Anyone stupid enough to garapple with him would soon find out . The statement i made was just boxing related . S777 Hahaha lets see one of you train for a few months then fight live in a contest that you know the whole world will watch! he did what he had to do, he has made no claims that I am aware of that he considers himself great, yet you all rip into him! Regardless of weather his technique is not good or nor im pretty certain that A he will have alot of mass in his arm and B his acceleration maybe slow but given all his strong man training im also sure it will be quicker than you think and may just seem slower due to his enormous size. If you dont think his punch would hurt your kidding yourself a nearly 300lb bloke isnt going to tickle you with the strength and power that pudz. I agree that better technique will transalte into more power but **** me you would know about it if he hit you it would be like being clubbed as opposed to the short sharp punch of say a trained boxer.

Ok It would hurt ., it deffo wouldnt tickle . But hes got no technique so he will be lackin on power . Also his physique isnt gonna help him in his boxing training ie picking up technique and skills . Rasputin I myself stated that his punches wouldnt hurt and i stand by that comment . He has 'no technique', 'no power', 'no movement' etc ect, so I assume you believe he should give up now? Serious question, I would like to know the answer tbip2001

No matter how slow, sloppy and unskilled the Gorilla is, if it hits you you're f*cked silverback slow??? sloppy, unskilled?? they get to around 510 lbs and and are extremely fast far from sloppy, lol. with out speed and sharpness his punces would be more like a push. once speed and sharpness are there tecnique will use his weight to get more power in the shots. best for him to do a take down then pull some limbs of.

It didn't seem to do George Foreman any harm. Foreman had good technique and handspeed. Hopefully I read this correctly and am not looking at someone using Foreman as an example in a debate about Puds complete lack of ability. You did. Foreman had decent technique and a good jab but far from great handspeed. He was a clubbing, scything puncher and generated great power mostly from planting his feet and getting his weight behind a punch. The OP used lack of handspeed and snap as to why there'd be no power in Pudz's punches. Yet Foreman could take your head off without it because he had technique, something Pudz doesn't, but that can be learned. An arm punch from someone as strong as Pudz will be enough to KO a lot of fighters, especially in 4oz gloves. This is MMA anyway, and not boxing. Pudz is clearly out to bulldoze anyone in front of him, and until he gasses, which I'd bet is before the end of the first round, the fact he can grab and punch or grab and take down that matters, not his boxing technique which at the moment, is pretty much non- existent.

So many predictions based on 30 seconds of one sided brawling. You must all have better eyes than me, I must admit I learned very little from that fight lol As said in the other thread, it's no surprise he won, it will be interesting to see what happens if he's put in against some actual mixed martial artists in the future though At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I do wish he'd stuck to strongman TBH! Why go from the very top of your sport to maybe being "ok" at another sport? Seems odd to me, but the guy has put in the years in strongman so I guess if he wants a change he's entitled to it. I hope he does well in future

you cant compare him to a boxer as he isnt boxing!!!! This is mma, real fighting. yes somebody GREAT may beat him, but lets be honest, hes an amateur!!!!! he is the equivalent in mma to any other rank beginner for crying out loud, watch some of todays top fighters and they were all at this stage at one time. Bloody hell, Josh Koschck entered the UFC with no striking ability whatsoever, now he is practically a title contender! Some retarded comments in thsi thread from "experts" no doubt.
