Marmite lovers... 10 October 2011 16:30 (permalink)
This might sound a little crazy but a few months ago I was feeling a little adventurous after finding out marmite had a high protein content and got excited!
I had a plain egg omelette then spreaded a thin layer of marmite on it

If you dont like marmite then it's not for you, If you like marmite still probably not for you, If you love marmite you will love this! :)

Try adding marmite to canned tuna, mix it in well and obviously enough to be able to taste it over the tuna...add touch of olive oil to help it bind...in a sandwich it's pretty alright :)

I love cooking with marmite. I have spread it on a chickens back half way through and makes the nicest crispy skin ever!

Marmite and bacon sandwich with brown sauce is heaven!

The main problem I have with Marmite is the amount of salt.

Sounds good Abi, I have actually been thinking what to use to replace the copious amounts of cheese I use in omelettes.

if you like marmite on chicken then try this, marmite and honey in equal amounts spread on chicken before you cook it trust me on this one

Damn! Those chicken ideas are great, I'm off to buy a huge tub of marmite.

For a cheat I sometimes melt loads of lurpack into toast and then spread finely with marmite :p
