rightyho Is Andy Dean under the thumb now? He's married. What do you think ? rightyho When are you coming to Peterborough? Lord knows. I didn't get there often when travel was generally approved of, but even then it was usually there and back in a day. In this economic climate a stop over would be rare. But if it happens, I will pop round and show you my stomach. Which is, I am told, my best feature rightyho How many calories a day do you consume? I don't honestly know, not as many as you would think, probably 3 - 4,000 I would guess. Life is too short for all that counting calorie guff rightyho What neck size are you? 20"

cliff_vtr - Is it true you sound just like Peter Kay - Is it true you train semi naked Yes I do sound like Peter Kay, or considering our ages, he sounds like me. He is from Bolton which is only about eight miles from me so not that odd really I don't train semi naked, but once whilst getting changed, I had to spot a chap on the bench, me one end and DrRick the other, I was in my grundies so spotted him like that. A good spotters should I never took my eyes off him but I was aware of something going on the the far corner. That something was me being filmed. It was posted on youtube (see no shame above) and has had over 10,000 hits in a few months thus propelling me to internet fame

RedHotF Fat Pete - you always come across as a very well educated, intellectual and intelligent man. I would like to know what your education background has been? That's very kind RHF, I went to grammer school from 67 - 72. I was in the bottom form as I wasn't good at languages and was beaten weekly by the teachers generally for no good reason. Between beatings we were constantly told that we were thick and would never amount to anything. I hated every second. I left with one "O" level in technical drawing. That was the end of my education. To this day I harbour a black, raw hatred of the teaching profession.

What prompted your decision to give up drinking alcohol Pete? Was there anything in particular, or more just a general feeling that it was time to call it quits?

James Pete, what if anything, would you suggest we could do to bring more strength trainers to the P&S forum on MT (or, indeed, MT as a whole)? I think that they would tend to gather on forums which were dedicated to them. As this is known as a bodybuilding board it is unlikely to be here. Personally I find that power forums have too many petty inter-federation squabbles and a "my dad is bigger than your dad" attitude. I like it here. If you attract too many you would lose the BBer base. It's a balance of the two. As one side goes up the other comes down

Formerly Known as Old Git If you could change one thing about a GBPF Powerlifting comp, what would it be, and why? I would have referees tell lifters why lifts were failed. Right there, right then, no signs, no wondering. Just plain words "You failed that bench for lifting your head" or whatever, at least then we know.

just t -how long do you think you will continue to train? For as long as it continues to be fun. Currently I am loving it just t -have you ever had any serious injurys? Yes, I slipped a disc (not gym related) back in 1988 and was out the gym for seven months. That is the only one though just t -any current niggling injuries? At the moment no. I had a troublesome shoulder for a few month but that seems fine now

drab4 What prompted your decision to give up drinking alcohol Pete? Was there anything in particular, or more just a general feeling that it was time to call it quits? In '88 I slipped a disc. Whilst in hospital they did routine blood tests and found the start of liver damage. Cross examination revealed my drinking habits ( I never lie, see no shame in previous answer) and the docs declared that if I carried on I would die and quite soon, whereas if I stopped the liver would repair itself I would live somewhat longer. Not a difficult choice.

40 plus Would you prefer all PL comps to be un-equipped? No. I would insist on knee wraps. That would be perfect in my opinion. Just like it used to be before the inmates starting running the asylum
