Mint Choc Protein Ice Cream... 07 December 2011 09:27 (permalink)
Tried this out last night and it turned out very well....

1/4 Cup Whey Protein (I used Optimum Nutrition Choc Mint)
1/8 Cup Cocoa
1/2 Cup Cottage Cheese
1 tbsp ground almonds
2-3 tsp Spenda (or more to your liking)
Splash of Milk

Blend all of the ingredients together and taste and add more or less splenda according to taste and place in a plastic container and put in the freezer.

After 30 mins or so take out and mix aka churn the mixture and place back int he freezer and do this agian after 30 mins and the mixture will start to resemble ice cream you may need to do this a couple of times for the desired consistency or alternatively if you have an ice cream maker you can use that.

But i think it turned out pretty good and tasted awesome!

next on the list os Banana ice cream!

Why don't you just have the whey powder in some water and then have a mint cornetto?
Im pretty sure the calories will be about the same.

Yes you can use Quark instead of cottage cheese the nutritional breakdown is roughly:

              239kcals, 30g protein, 15g carbs (8.4g sugars), 7g fat
              (1.1g sat) and 1.6g fiber

This amount will make enough for 2 servings so i doubt its the same as having a cornetto!
