Monster Pump

OK so I know this is not a new product on the block, but have heard good things about other monster products so thought I would try this as a pre-workout 1.3 free. I have tried other non 1.3 stuff and not been overly impressed (exclude usn anabolic nitro in this) as i didnt seem to gain much pump or any real focus. so below is a summary of my view on this older non-concentrated pre-workout
 
Taste : now I have a strong stomach for taste's, and I have drunk some fouls stuff in my time however have never come across anything like this. Its sweet initially...then the chemical and chalky taste kicks in! best to down it in one and get it out the way, imagine taking a tube of sherbert all in one....kinda similar! I have the fruit punch variety which does make it more bearable. Overall  2/5
 
Mix-ability : Be careful!!! this stuff fizzes like no other! it wont pop a twist on cap, but I made the mistake of using an older met-rx push on shaker this morning.....POP and all over me! once shaken there is no residue and its fairly consistant to drink. Overall 4/5 (if careful)
 
Focus : got to say I was a little dissapointed with the focus side of things, no real buzz to speak off, and no 'tunnnel vision' like effects you get with most p/w's. This also has a lower caffiene content of only 200mg per serving and I normally drink 2-3 coffee's a day during my 9hr work day so caffiene itself doesnt really do much for me in smaller numbers. If you are looking for avoid the focus side of things then this scores a impressive 5/5 but I do enjoy that :). Overall 2/5 (sorry)
 
Pump : WOW! this is probably the best pump I have had in ages! I feel fuler, look fuller, and its obvious to most others the effects this has had. The closest pump I have ahd to this is the above mentioned usn anabolic nitro. Cant really give it much more praise without sounding like a monster rep. Overall 5/5
 
Value : this is not a concentrate!! arriving in a 1kg tub its taking up valuable space compared to its concentrated brothers, however with no real buzz to think of the pump is not effected by how much extra you take, so following the 1 scoop guidelines will ensure this lasts well over the month! this was bought for £27.99 at BBW so good price cosidering most concentrates have to be double scooped and you only get about 20days usage from a £20 (jack3d) to £40 (no-xplode) tub. Overall 5/5
 
After effects : with no 1.3 stim in this product i have not crashed what so ever! I can train around 9am in the morning and go to work at 3pm, not get in till gone midnight and I havent crashed at all! no sleepness nights when I take it before a evening gym session (around 6-630pm) and throughout the day I just feel refreshed and energised. Overall 5/5
 
Summary : I wasnt expecting to enjoy this product as much as I am, previous experience with non 1.3 products have left me dissapointed and lacking any real benefit (even if its vanity) leading to me questioning my purchase. With monster pump it seems to be agreeing with me, providing a good solid pump with no after effects and no crazy mind warping focus sessions (although they are fun!). This would appear ideal for those looking for a low stim product and seeking value for money at the same time. For those who are concerned with tolerance build up, with such a low stim product I dont see any of this as I dont see tolerances to the 'pump' ingredients as a problem for anyone. Once again BBW provided a cracking service which was fast, friendly, and efficent, plus its always nice to get a free sample inside the package!

Great review m8, have allways been intrested to try this myself, but like most preworkouts on the market, it gets many mixed reviews.

Judging by the profile breakdown, i can see why you get a good pump from it, alot of pres ive found which contain slow releasing carbs seem to help with that "musculer fullness" something ive got off of MP Assault most recently when used at a full scoop (almost 20gs of carbs).
I see they are starting to phase out this orginal MonsterPump to make way for there new V2 formula, which looks a not bad product judging by the breakdown, no real reviews out for it atm.

You mentioned the focus side of things, but was there any extra energy whatsoever? even at 2 scoops?

yeah, some extra energy, certainly felt a increase in strength and a feeling of being able to do that little bit more.
 
I fully understand where you are coming from regarding the mixed reviews, however, I have found that the reviews on here do tend to be more accurate than the ones i find elsewhere. We get a proper breakdown and why people rate, dont rate products here other than 'had a poor reaction, felt no effect, that was insane' type comments bounded around elsewhere.
 
As for musclepharm assault, that is next on my list to try for non-stim, but may give the bbw charge a go first :)
also as a note : if any cytosport reps frequent here and want to send some free samples of new formula...I wil happily compare it to the one I've got hehe

I only saw this for the first time the other day when you mentioned it . It looks a big improvement over there other efforts.
