49 mins cardio this morning.  I was a bit slower today!  Legs are really feeling it now.  I think more from the extra running I did yesterday.

I will do the mini stepper for 45 mins tomorrow morning and I think it'll be a nice break.  Same Friday then I'll do something on the weekend mornings, either run or stepper.

I'm starting to really regret booking the holiday so close and shortening my cut.  Not that I had a say in it anyway!  I know I won't be in the condition I want to be in.  Which is ok, it just means I have to carry on after the holiday which isn't very nice.  I'm looking good in the mirror but miles off where I want to be.  I reckon I need 8 weeks not 4!

Yup, on the back of a strict cut.  Way to lose condition within days!!!

I plan on carrying cutting when I get back, even if it's just for 2 weeks to drop the fat I've gained on holiday.  I won't be going over board but on the other hand, I want to enjoy my holiday.

I went all inclusive last year for the first time and I was just plain greedy!  Eating everything in sight, just because it was there!   I won't be doing this this time

Yup, all inc can be a killer.  I did it for the first time last year, and it ruined my condition within days.  I'll have to take it steady this time!

43 mins on the mini stepper this morning.  Odd time I know!  I planned 50 mins but laid in bed a bit too long then had to cut it short so I wasn't late for work and stuff.  The stepper reading almost got to 500 calories so that will do.

It's an acheivement to even do some cardio on Thurs and Fri mornings so I'm happy enough.

I can train all 5 days this week, which is rare, so I've got an extra session as I just stick with a 4 day split these days.  I'm not, not training as I like to go in my lunch hour so I can either get do my back on Friday and get one session in front as there'll no doubt be a week where it's back to a 3 day split again, or I could just have 2 small sessions....... shoulders today, bi's + abs tomorrow.  I'll see how I feel.

I'm attempting dry tuna today in readyness for some pro/veg days.  I've got some vinegar on it and some salad with it.  I've also blobbed some yogurt in the just incase I literally can't eat it dry!  Just an experiment today.

Head is all over at the minute regarding condition.  I walk past a mirror one minute and look great and think "3 and a bit more weeks of cutting and I'll look spot on", then walk past later on and think "god I'm miles off".  Crazy, I know.

The gym was red hot as they were having aircon problems, so I decided to just do shoulders.  Then I stuck some abs in so they're done and I still have the choice of doing back and bi's tomorrow and get one in front.  If not, it's just a nice easy bi's session.  Should only be in the place 10 mins!

Nice session and some slight improvement on last week.

Tuna is not going down too bad without it being soak in yogurt and mayo.  The blob of yogurt does help as does the salad.

50 mins on the stepper this morning.

Thats the first time I've managed 5 mornings cardio on the trot in years!  Even when I cut last year I was only doing 4 a week.  I'm definitely getting up and doing Saturday and Sunday morning.  Just can't decide whether to go outside or on the stepper.

I tried just egg whites this morning for a protein only breakfast.  Edible enough, just hard work to get all the yolks out of boiled eggs and I ended up leaving bits of the yolk in.  Not much I suppose.  My tuna has only got a bit of yogurt in today and I'll try to eliminate it next week.  Shame my evening meal wasn't great last night and I've got the same again tonight.

I've also got 3 potential bad meals coming up in quick succession!  BBQ on Saturday night at someones house.  We're taking the little one if we go so no real drinking which is good.  And I'll just have to stick to the meat and avoid the bread.  Then it's my wifes Bday on Tuesday, so we're going for an Indian on Sunday night.  This is my cheat day but I will attempt to avoid as much carbs as possible and just have a bit of rice and naan with the curry to limit the damage.  Then I've got the day off for her Bday and we're going to her parents for tea.  This will no doubt be a carby meal (usually lasagne) so I'll have to watch my cals all day to compensate!

I now have no doubt in my mind that my cut won't be over once I go on holiday.  Even if by some miracle I reach my desired condition in the next 3 weeks, it's going to be a last minute effort and it will no doubt dissapear as soon as I eat normal on holiday.  I will definitely be resuming the cut for at least 4 weeks when I return.

So decided to do back + bi's today and get 1 session in front.  I'm ok for 4 days next week but the week after I can only train 3 days so this will allow me to keep my 4 day split throughout.

Not the best idea though......... the gym was red hot as the aircon wasn't working and it's my first day without fats so I felt very weak.  Not the best timing for a challenging session!  I've also got to go to the docs after work for my holiday injections and I can be a bit of a fainter with needles.  I feel faint already so god knows what will happen!

                          Back + Bi's            WEEK 3

WG Chins            3 x ?            BW for all (10, 10, 9) - felt weak and missed the last rep!
                          V bar Pulldowns  2 x 10          57.5kg, 57.5kg + drop set
                          Cable rows         5 x 10          50kg for all + drop set

                          DB curls               3 x 10          16kg for all
                          Preacher curls     3 x 10          25kg (7 too heavy), 20kg, 20kg

I compressed the session a bit due to time but worked everything the same.  Eg, just 1 rowing exercise but did 5 sets plus a drop.  Felt good, but weak and flat!

I want to see a big loss on the scales tomorrow but I've got a feeling it's only going be a pound or 2.  4lbs would be nice!

Happy this morning.  Up at 6am for some cardio on a Saturday!!!!

But first I weighed in.  12st 6lbs  Thats 4lb down on last Saturdays weigh in, 2lbs down on Sunday as I didn't trust the Saturday reading......... either way it's coming off.  Whilst diet and cardio have been spot on this week, I did have a BIG pizza on Sunday plus lots of curry and a dessert earlier in the day, so that will have had to come off.

48 mins cardio this morning and it felt great.  Now the weathers picked up (I've not run since Weds and it wasn't this warm) I could ditch the hat and top and go in just shorts and t-shirt.  There was no one around this morning and I loved it.  Bring on tomorrow.

I've just had egg whites for breakfast, will have some tuna later and maybe more egg whites, then we're off to a BBQ at 5pm.  Meat only for this lad!!!!  I don't care what people say, how many questions I get asked, how much my wife thinks I'm crazy, a carb is not passing my lips until we go out for an Indian tomorrow night.  And even then it'll be minimal.

Pro/veg days are pretty much impossible if I want to eat with my family, but I can eliminate fat for most of the day and eat pro/fat in the evening.  I'm just not sure whether to do this everyday or alternate it.

I NEED 4lbs of by next week to in with a shot of looking awsome for my holiday.

Up and at it at 6am for another cardio session this morning.  6am on a Sunday morning!!  49 mins round my usual route.

It's a good job too because I slipped up and over ate a bit at last nights BBQ.  I ended up drinking as the wife drove.  Only vodka and diet coke and not too much but it got me hungry.  I still pretty much stuck to my diet and ate plenty of meat but the odd bits of carbs slipped in, like onion rings and breaded mushrooms.  Nothing too bad.
Egg whites are cooking as I type for breakfast, then off to the in-laws and I'm just going to have chicken, no rice, no dessert as we're out for an Indian tonight.

48 mins cardio again this morning.  Red hot!!!

Sundays food wasn't too bad.  Eggs for breakfast, small bit of chicken curry (no rice), then out for a proper Indian at night.  I did eat plenty, and I had enough carbs but I don't think I over did it and I was hungry later on so I can't have had that much.

I weighed myself this morning and I've only gained 3lbs over the weekend so thats nothing.

The next obsticale (and I feel awful saying this), is the wife's Bday tomorrow.  I'm off work and I'm going to skip cardio tomorrow, even though I'd love to do it.  Few reasons....... give the legs a break as they're feeling it now, have a lay in, but the main reason is make sure she gets a lay in on her Bday.  Knowing my luck I'll go running and the little one will wake up meaning she's up at 6am on her Bday!  So a welcome break tomorrow.

But the biggest hurdle will be food.  I know she wants a nice breakfast making, hopefully she'll opt for a full english so I can stick to pro/fat.  Then off to her parents for tea and I'm almost certain it'll be lasagne.  Weds, thurs, fri will pro/veg days if I can to compensate.

Just another little head fck thought......... I'm pretty sure I'm doing all the right things, weight is dropping and I'll get under 12st and look in decent shape for my holiday in 3 weeks time.

But...... as it's all such a last minute rush job I'm also pretty sure I'll gain a ton of weight as soon as I start eating normal again.  I'll probly come home in the condition I'm in now.  Ah well, as long as I look ok for my holiday.  Just another reason to make sure I keep cutting when I get home.

seems that getting the holiday booked was the push you needed to get the cardio going, and by the sounds of it you smashing it to bits, well played.

no disrespect but it seemed like u would make up excuses for not doing cardio pre holiday booked. fingers crossed the cut works. still loving the honest views brittas.

what whey/protein are you using mate?
