Mr Peterborough 2011

G'Morning (or night, depending on where you are). Peterborough is where I consider my hometown and I went to watch a show last night, put on (I believe) by Rob Reinaldo. I consider Rob a friend and he's done a lot to raise the profile of bodybuilding in Peterborough. Noticed a couple of guys with their muscletalk t-shirts on and 1 of you/them in particular jumped on the 80kg bench for around 35 reps I think. Weren't many competitors and I can't offer a full write up but just had to give props to a 16 year old first timer named Jordan for having the cajones to get up on stage with his probably 60kg! Anybody else attend? Thanks, Will.

Was supposed to attend but ended up having to work unfortunately. What were the names of the top 3 if you remember?

I don't know anything 'bout the show sorry..but when I go to peterboro' to train, I use Robs' gym, after the initial nerves of being in a new gym I actually found it a great place to train, and the guys in there, including Rob couldn't have been more helpful....I also met Ricardo there and he chatted to me a bit about training and helped on a couple of things....sorry for hijack...just thought I would throw that one if anyone is heading up that way...oh...

Not sure though..don't live in Peterborough now. really?...I haven't been up that way since very early this year so I dunno if it's still going...it would be a shame if it has...I'll check...it was handy, right at the back door of the hotel I stay in...lol.....guess I'll have to saddle up the legs for my next trip up...

If it is shut, not certain myself; get yourself to Bodyworks - top gym but a bit of a treck from the middle of town!

Indeed Ultrabodies shut down a few months back. Rob now trains at Fitness Station on Dogsthorpe road. would put the website link in here but not sure if it's allowed? I remember only that first timers included that lad named JOrdan who had a pinch of muscle but was just getting over the lights and practicing his routine. He came last but a brave showing anyway. 3rd (4 in total) was a guy called Lee Chapman, announced as from Huntingdon LA Fitness. LA FITNESS!!! Do they have weights there? He had a nice routine - good arms and shoulder, good upper abs but lacked below that. One guy called Sebby or Semi I think. Really really good symetry and overall size but lacked biceps. Hailed from Essex I believe. Overall was won by a black skinned man named Rob Taylor. Rob was ripped but not sure what else to add. Good arms also. Sadly I don't recall too much else as names etc are my bad point :( Maybe I'll enter some novices next year. I'll get my profile up and running with pics soon.

I couldn't attend this year, but I MCed Mr Peterboro for the first 2 years and also spectated last year. Was there a good turnout of crowd?

Hi James. Well, some of the seating had spaces but I think that was strangers not wanting to touch legs with random beefcakes haha. 2-300 at a guess. I'm not sure what the turnout before was like but if it continues next year then I'll do my best to spread the word. Shame aswell that there were about 7 pull outs I think from competition. I haven't been to a show for several years though so for a small city, I don't know how that compares to other local competitions?
