I personally never found Creatine to do very much either. It could be that I just don't react to it, or it could be that it is the same for everybody and I am just less susceptible to placebo. It's never going to give a massive benefit anyway so I wouldn't worry about it!

you're starting to sound like gh15 bud ;)

Well gh15 is some a poster over at another website. He is suppose to be an ex pro and knows a ton loads about gear etc. He is basically saying that the whole supplement industry is a farce and it's basically steroids that are the reason why they all look like they do.

I'm pretty sure you said that you had done a PH cycle? Has this changed your view on supplements etc?

Sorry to the OP way off topic.

Pretty much true. Creatine and caffeine the only things with a decent amount of evidence behind them.

Protein powder is solid, but that's food not a supplement.

Ah I see, haha fair call.

Nah I've always just been quite cynical about the whole thing. I've never seen any benefit from using creatine that was more than negligible. I used a few test boosters back in my more impressionable days and none of them did anything. I've used a hell of a lot of pre-wo supps and none of them has given me any greater energy/focus than a caffeine tab. I see no benefit whatsoever in taking a product that gives you a slightly more noticeable pump while you are in the gym. I am also very cynical of the supplement industry in general because nobody seems to have any problem with making outrageously exaggerated claims and/or telling outright lies about their products in order to sell them.

What you say is undoubtedly true also, if you look the physiques of the guys they use in most supplement ads and if you look at the physiques of the pros who endorse them, all of those guys got to that level by using AAS, yet they are pretending like they used those supplements to get them there.

I've done PH cycles in the past and I use proper AAS. It hasn't changed my views on supplements though because except for the few months at the start when I was very impressionable, I've always just thought of supplements for what they are, additions to your diet for the most part, and they are never going to give you the kind of benefit that a lot of them claim.

Good post CK, I have to admit with the pre workout supps Jack3d really does get me in the mood. The 1.3 in it does work if you're a responder. Oh how I would love to try a PH but the fear of losing my hair is to much haha.

Para- Yea good point. I would say creatine, multi, omega 3 etc whey do help.

Yeah thankfully hair loss was never really an issue for me because I have outrageously thick hair and there is no MPB anywhere in my family.

You can get good results from some PHs, like SD for example, but otherwise I'd just recommend normal AAS instead. For any of the actual potent PHs you will need a SERM for which you will need a source for anyway!
