I was backstage tanning..... the real shocker is this, ever wondered why there was a lack of Brazillian girls in the trained figure lineup? Or why Ira Maryam from Israel didn't make the cut?
The Brazillian girls were told they were too big to compete in the trained figure class and were sent packing without stepping a foot on stage as for Ira Maryam she was severely marked down because of her size too......
I noticed there weren't many girls at all in the line up, and that they appeared much smaller than I was expecting. That's pretty shocking, surely they should have simply marked them down onstage for it instead.
I've only been to one NABBA show, and that was the UK 6 years ago. Based upon what I saw on Saturday I wasn't very impressed.
Combined with the fact I may not be able to compete on certain dates next summer, this has made me look into UKBFF Bodyfitness instead.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I am weighing up each federation both as spectator and potential competitor. I'd been looking forward to the Universe for weeks. Another disappointment was that I decided to go to just the evening show, not realising only the top 6 (or was it 5?) would get to do their routines. Based on the BNBF I had assumed I'd see all the competitors perform in the evening. So when my friend didn't quite make the top 5 or 6, this meant I only got to see her walk on stage and back off for about 30 seconds.
Oh and they chucked everyone out the building between afternoon and evening, I turned up early expecting to get in have a mingle, look at stalls then they didn't open the doors until 6pm.
Mumble over.
I can be a bit picky about stuff like that, so wondered what everyone else thought of the organisation?
