Re:NEED HELP FAST!!! 11 November 2009 19:46 (permalink)
I used DNP for 7 days and lost 8lb - I kept a dairy of my measurements and how I was feeling.

I upped the dosage from 200mg to 400mg a day after day 4 and spent 3 days at 400mg.  200mg was a walk in the park, but when 400mg built up in my system it knocked me sideways and made me very ill very quickly.  Took me a week to get over being ill. Laying flooring for 8 hours on the last day didn't help, it's struggle enough to move around your normal day, yet alone do physical activity.

Sweat start smelling like a white board marker. The mrs noticed I was sweating loads in bed.

My hunger was almost insatiable, it stripped away all my will power.  I'm not into chocolate and I can go years without eating any, yet on DNP I had to have it and I couldn't reason with myself not to eat it.

You do feel a bit disorientated at times.

I do wish I had not bothered and lost the fat with cardio and diet.

But would I do it again? Probably, only because I've been offered some cheap...  I wouldn't run 400mg though, I would stay low for 5 days and have weekends off.

The most important aspect is to have discapline. Don't rush it, don't get impatient and want to take another pill because you can't feel the first one working.  That's the best way for an ice water enema.

Another note, I thought I had done all the research I needed to do before I got the pills.  Then after I took the 1st one I read something new, which scared me.  At the time, for better or worse, I was feeling experimentle as I felt I wasn't getting anything definitive either way from what I was reading on the net.

I forgot to mention why I fell ill - because you're so hot, you don't realise how cold it actually is, in addition to your immune system taking a hammering from the stuff it's a recipe to catch a bug.

It is nasty stuff no 2 ways about it.  For people's info, I had the powder version in white and green caps and I was still peeing neon yellow for a fair while after.

        Re:NEED HELP FAST!!! 11 November 2009 23:11 (permalink)
I've dug out my DNP diary for your amusement.

        Day 1

In the morning I took 2 Yohimbine, 2.5mg per cap

Also took my cocktail of multivitimins and iron when I got into work.

Took DNP at 12.15 just past midday.  250mg capsule.

Ate a jacket potato with beans and cheese.

Had 2 cups of tea at my bro's after work with a few biscuits.

Had a pudding at my dad's.

        Took 1 cap of Yohimbine

        Biceps are 16"
Chest, around the nips is 43" I think iirc
around the belly button is 42.5"
        Quads are 25"

At night I weigh bang on 15 stone.

I've done about an hours worth of weights on and off with some sit ups.

I have a weird feeling in my face like I'm upset or something and my teeth at the back feel weird - could be unrelated.

It's 00.25am and I don't feel tired, I've been up since 6.45am. Could be the Yohimbine.

        Day 2

Woke up feeling like I've had the best nights sleep in a long time! Must have been due to exercise!! haha

Had 1 Yohimbine before breakfast. Breakfast was 2 eggs and a tin of tuna, with a little soy sauce.  Washed down with a Lucazade sport.

I weighed myself and I appear to be a pound lighter than last night, but that's to be expected since you weigh less in the morning, after a nights sleep.

I will be having pasta for lunch with my DNP cap and 1 Yohimbine at around 5pm....

Turns out I also had 3 choccy bars a pack of crisps and 2 bacon butties (without the spread or fat) aswell.  Feeling rather peckish now but have read that this is a side effect of DNP.

Tomorrow I will take more Yohimbine to supress my increased appetite.

For lunch tomorrow I am having beef stir fry.  I will make some tuna mayo rolls to take to work and see how I get on.

I think boredom played a part in this evenings eating.

I felt my breathing get heavier a little earlier but now it's settled down.  I'm anticipating that tomorrows dosage will increase that side a little more due to the build up of DNP in my system.  I've not really felt much if at all any warmer yet.  My ears got hot for a little while though.  Also a few hours after my 2nd pill, I noticed heavier breathing after walking a short distance.

We'll see how it goes.  I will weigh and measure myself friday morning.

        Day 3

Well, the beef stir fry was sh!t.  Craved chocolate for the past 2 evenings, which is very unlike me, don't usually touch the stuff.  Had another bacon butty when I got home from work. Tomorrow is the early shift, so hopefully I won't get bored and want to snack.

My pee has started to change colour, it's quite a bright yellow, very unnatural yellow though, doesn't smell though. I would usually expect clear urine due to the amount of water I've been drinking, so I guess this is it, 4th day tomorrow which is when DNP usually starts to kick your ass. No going back now!

I've had 1 or 2 hot flushes but it's difficult to say that it's actually the DNP due to the heating in work.

Water is getting boring so I will need to get some squash, which should be interesting, seen as it makes me asthmatic...

On another note, I shaved my balls and gouch today, feels great. There is nothing more breathtaking than a shorn scrotum, I suggest you try it.

I took a Yohimbine at 6pm ish and by 8 I wanted my bed, but now I'm WIDE awake and don't feel tired.

        Day 4

        Biceps are 16"
Chest, around the nips is 44.5"
around the belly button is 40.5"
        Quads are 24.75"

Weight is a pound or two under 15 stone

Didn't sleep well last night - I think I went to bed too soon after I ate, I woke up during the night feeling rotten.  In the morning however I felt alot better.

Tried increasing the Yohimbine to combat the increased appetite but DNP over powers it.

        Day 5

Only had a few flushes, nothing drastic, however, I know it's cold outside and I'm wearing a t-shirt and feel pretty comfortable.  Was planning on taking an additional cap of DNP today, but wondering if I should wait an extra day as it should be built up in my system by now.

Didn't sleep well last night, but that was due to the kitten trying to sleep on our faces and purring loudly the whole night through.

So, I took the first cap at 9am and the 2nd 12 hours later.  I plan on running 2 caps a day like this until day 8, then taper off 1 a day until all 15 caps are spent.

I managed to work on the car for 6 hours straight easily enough, pushing myself through any lethargy.

        Day 6

Feeling a little lethargic, not helped by the fact the mrs wanted to pull me around the shops AGAIN!! lol

Slept well enough, had the covers off me most of the night, noticable increase of sweat but nothing like wetting the bed or anything.  The mrs flat is freezing this time of year though, even though I can't feel it being that cold much.

Haven't been amazingly healthy over the weekend, KFC and a mixed grill have been the treats. Not expecting to have lost much weight and wondering if this is actually working.

        Day 7

Slept ok, been having really dry mouth when waking the past few days and my lips are dry, had to wipe the dead skin away. Mrs said I sweated loads and she has to change the bedding.

Weighed in this morning out of curiosity and I am currently 14stone 6lb!

        Day 8

        Chest 45"
        Belly 39.5"

I ate really late last night and paid the price for it.  Terrible sweats and sickness.  I didn't vomit but I was as weak as a kitten.  I'm going to cut down from 400mg to 200mg a day early.  200mg and there was no noticeable sides. I will leave it until tonight and take a cap at 6pm I think, see how I get on.

        Day 9

Didn't take a cap on day 8, thought I'd have 36 hours off.  Noticed I was pissing like a race horse even though I only had 2 cups of tea - must be all the water retention coming off - scales indicate a 2lb loss from it.

Have lost another half inch around my belly - chest is staying at 45"

Haven't had a chance to workout yet but I will put in some time before I go into work tomorrow.

I've needed quick sugars from biscuits - I should really be eating fruit - poor preparation on my part.

Then I got ill and didn't take any more.

Well, I think your target is impossible. But I suggest you drink a lot of water. And exercise daily. You don't have to remove carbohydrates just cut it down. Because Carbohydrates is for your energy.

I have to ask how is discussion of this rather dangerous, and nasty compound is even remotely suitable for this forum?

I suppose it something to do with the use of DNP for weight loss.

It was actually available early in the last century for that very purpose, and keeps popping up as "fat loss aid" every so often since

I also know its has been a popular suggestion in certain parts of the internet from time time

I understand your point. What I don't agree with is its discussion inside a forum where overall health is paramount to any change in lifestyle plan.

Cellular metabolic poison has no place in the Weight Loss forum, and should be discouraged, as i personally think it goes against what MT's ethos is for this part of the forum.

Well, we would usually push these topics to OPED, but as the point has been well made that DNP is very dangerous and should not be used, I feel it's wortwhile keeping the topic here for people who wish to lose weight who might be considering it; hopefully they'll be put off.

                            Cellular metabolic poison

                            whatever that means ?

Cellular - affects the individual cells of your body - thats pretty much the most basic unit of life
Metabolic - metabolism is how cells work, and what they do
Poison - i hope you know this one.

So a cellular metabolic poison is something that  poisons your cells ability to do what they are supposed to!

except that for DNP the exact opposite is true.

learn what the effect of uncouplers (the poison I assume)  are on mitochondrial reactive oxygen species.

DNP limits/eliminates mitochondrial ROS production, which is the basis for many of it's protective properties (in infarction, trauma, increase in life span)

except that for DNP the exact opposite is true.

learn what the effect of uncouplers (the poison I assume)  are on mitochondrial reactive oxygen species.

DNP limits/eliminates mitochondrial ROS production, which is the basis for many of it's protective properties (in infarction, trauma, increase in life span)

Did I just read that you are saying DNP is protective?

Mitochondrial ROS production is explained by the crowding of electrons within the respiratory chain complexes I and III. Complex I and Complex III are the  major source of superoxide in vivo

To form ROS, some of these electrons escape from the normal pathway that links movement of pairs of electrons to proton pumping. Increasing permeability of the inner membrane to protons facilitates this normal pathway, and hence reduces the crowding of electron and ROS production, the result being an increased waste of energy. Uncouplers dissipate the chemical gradient by providing a means by which protons can escape the intermembrane space, shorting out the gradient and allowing an increase in electron transport.

This is why uncoupling proteins are now thought to exist, in part, to help regulate oxidative stress. They are not poison. They play an important role in normal physiology.

There is plenty of research on the protective properties of UCP including DNP out there. I will dig it up.
