Well the first lot were a disaster, just a goooey mess, that wouldn't set,.......but not to be beaten, I tried orange and the consistency was much better, actually like a dough.
I measured the same amount of ingredients in both attempts..............the only difference being........the first lot used cheap H&B whey and the second lot used pro peptide???. The pro peptide have turned out excellent. The H&B is a whey concentrate, wheras the pro peptide contains whey protein isolate and hydrolyzed, whether this makes any difference, I havn't got a clue???.............but the second batch is much better.

I would post some pics, but don't think I can cos I ain't got 50 posts yet :( .............but I'm working on it

Taste lovely but have a few questions.

There isn't enough protein and cals in one serving so do I a: Use double of the ingredients and make 8 bars at around 40g protein each.
B: Make two batches up and eat two at one sitting?

I found it difficult getting all the mixture into a container before putting in the frisge and a lot of the mixture was left still in the mixing bowl!

You could double the amounts mate.

What i normally do is say i want 48 grams of protein in one meal, i actually work out how much protein is in the whole of the contents, then from that, work out how many grams of protein is in 1 gram of the mixture.

Then it is simply a matter of divinding that number by '48' and then weighing that portion.

Well it depends on exact weights of ingredients, but 44 grams is normally around 90-100 grams of the actual fudge bar.

If i double the amount in the ingredients on page 1 that would give me 8 bars at near 40g protein per bar right?

Can i use ground almonds instead of normal?

Yes ground almonds would be fine.

Made my second batch tonight. Taste amazing, they really are addictive.

I used the same quantities as on the front page but cut into 4 instead of 8 for adequate protein. Thanks for the wonderful recipe Gaz, huge convenience for work too!
