I'm finding baking with Whey so Bloody expensive. I've just found some 90% soy protein isolate from Holland and Barret for £6.99, might use this for recipe's and baking. I guess this would be o.k.

If you utilise unflavoured whey like in the original post, it is a very good way of making cheap protein bars.

                            Quark is soft cheese mate.

No the taste difference is minimal.

Since finding your recipe, honestly cant stop eating then, on the third batch since sunday!!!!

been thinking of making a new batch using 50% Whey , 25% Micellar Casein and 25% Egg Albumin Powder. Will work out a bit more expensive, but will have three Proteins ranging from slow to fast absorption.

Gaz - gonna make these today on a day off work. But we don't have St Ivel over in Ireland. What exactly am I looking for in the supermarket to replace it? Marg? Flora type stuff? The choice will be limited enough from what I can remember.

                                  Thanks

Erm just look on the back of a few spreads like flora, etc... and try and get low calorie, low fat ones like St Ivel Gold.
