Nabba Ireland 17 August 2005 15:11 (permalink)
Whats up guys, I just signed up to the forums....
Tried to post on the other Nabba Ireland thread but it was locked so I just wondered what to expect at the competition. It'll be the first bodybulding contest Ive ever been to. I hope to compete in the juniors next year so I wanna check out the competition I'm 17 now so I've a few years left to enter!
Will there be supplements, clothes etc. available to buy? And is it usually possible to get talking to the guest posers? Im a big Flex Lewis fan it'd be super cool to meet him,
I'd appreciate any replies,
Thanks
Pat

Ps. anyone from Galway here thinking of heading up?

Hello Pat, got this info from Paulieb on the previous thread so i hope it helps. It is going to be an excellant show and there should be no reason why you can't meet the guest posers.
Unsure wether or not there will be trade stands for you to buy clothes and supplements.
Good Luck with your show prep for next year and enjoy

                  Hi guys

just a note on the show in Vicar street at the weekend prob going to be one of the best shows seen in Ireland for a long time. lots of guest posers and paul has a lot of surprises in store hsi attention to detail over the last year has been brilliant so it promises to be an excellent evening.

With regards to stands, there will be a few trade stands there mostly selling supplements though there wont be that much clothing although Dereck from CNP usually brings along some baggies and rag tops. There was alot of clothing in Limerick last week but they are not going to be at Vicar Street.

The show was a HUGE Success!! Standard was unbelievable, both in the competitors and the guest posers. Billy Bourne (sp?) won the overall. Absolutely incredible physique. Hats off to PaulieB. Yet again he has made the NABBA Ireland show a great success.

I have some pictures & will post them shortly.

So Billy won the overall & looked fantastic: we, at Progym, are so proud of him as he trained & dieted very hard for it.
He will be now going with me to the Universe: he told me last week that it was his dream to compete at the Universe one day, so he's very happy...

"Our junior", John Wade, had done very well too: it was very close between him & the other competitor of his class(only 2). The winner had competed 4 times already, & for John(18), it was his first time. It was hard to pick the winner as they had a similar shape & same condition. He looked very well for his first show

It was a very good show & it was nice to meet again Flex, Avril, Dayo & Gary Lister.

                              So pics to come....

Neill Brown was competing mate and won his class one. However Billy and the other fella tom who won class four looked unreal and was close between them two for the overall, hard one to call. Was a great show and congrats to paul byrne for great organisation, the venue was great, the trophies and prizes for competitors was exceptional, and the show in general was brill with some great guest posers especially Dayo Audi, Gary Lister and James lewis, and Avril, girl u looked amazing, fair play and good luck in universe. Any chance the organisers could bring the same show standard to the North in march as thios show was miles in front. Also the competitors seemed to be very well looked after, good back stage facilities and free supplements for all who competed. First class and congrats again for all who competed.

the show was fantastic for everyone i think. paulie looked after us all. shame he ran around like a fiend possessed all day as it would have been nice for him to relax and enjoy some of the fruits of his labour.

it was great to catch up with so many folk and get to meet some guys and gals from some of the other forums too. but dissapointed in babyb. i was looking forward to meeting you at show but you didnt make yourself known. maybe next time eh?

                                    mailka looked brilliant as usual.

thanks to all from ireland who made my first visit to dublin a very memorable one.

paulie byrne out did himself......what a cracker of a show.

                                    xx
