Need advice on quick fat loss - 30 December 2005 02:09
Hi

I’m 24 years, about 1.87 cm and 77 kg and have been extremely ripped all my life.

Iv developed a belly which means that now only 2 of my top abs are visible if I tense.

I will start cardio but I don’t want to loose muscle or weight only fat round my belly. Is it possible to only loose fat but no muscle?

I think that it should take me only 1 month to get rid of the extra fat? But I’m not sure because I never had to loose fat before and I have never done cardio.

Can you give me some advice. I have been reading the forum but still have questions.

1. If I stay on a bulking diet and go running will I loose the fat or do I have to reduce food intake?? (remember I am a ectomorph but not without muscle my body looks like brad pitt's body but I have developed a belly now)

2. I don’t take supplements, my muscles grow fine without them but shall I get some Amino Acid tablets to eat before running to prevent muscle loss?

3. How many days a week do I have to run and for how long each time? I have never done any real cardio only 10 minutes to warm up sometimes before weight training.

I don't see how the link answers any of his questions personally..

1) Depends how much running you do, if you're in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight.

2)Depends on rest of diet and timing of cardio, BCAA pills can be handy though.

3) Can't really answer unless you factor goals and diet into account..

What is a good supplement to take before cardio to prevent muscle loss?? Amino Acids>? What else?
