New old guy here....I'm back

Hey MT, Well I'm back (I know…Who is this guy haha)..Well I joined the site around 10 years ago when I was looking for some supplement information and basic motivation. I don’t recall if I ever posted or not however because I never really had much to add quite honestly. Anyway a little background. I started working out when I was 14 and was a pretty active teenager. Martial arts, soccer, track and field..I lifted religiously till a little after college. Then my career put undue stress into my life, travelling, client dinners. AT my prime (around 28yo) I was 220lbs with about 10%-15% body fat at 5’11”. By the time I joined here I was around 245lbs, 30yo and feeling down on myself. I was only working out on and off due to these strange injuries I’d be getting. I could for example flat bench 250lbs or so and never get injured yet if I leaned or twisted my body in a certain way I’d get sore. And this soreness would last for long periods of time. It wasn’t a huge pain but enough to make me not want to work out. It was always related to my shoulder or elbow area. Once the injury went away if I did something stupid it came back. Still happens today and I haven’t been working out at all for the past two years. Currently I’m 40 and 285lbs. Now for a living I climb in and around and off of buildings. None of this was bothering me until this year. Basically I been having a lack of energy and overall muscle soreness. My work can be strenuous at times and this extra weight and lack of working out has caught up. Even my body has been doing strange things this year. Just to ad I went to a few doctors years ago about these pains I was having and they couldn’t figure it out exactly. Theories but…Anyway So I’m back. One for motivation and two for any and all advise as to what supplements I should be taking. I put more faith into experienced body builders when it comes to what I should or shouldn’t be taking. Don’t get me wrong. I ALWAYS do my research and read up to educate myself prior to making any decisions. It’s just that I am not on the cutting edge of whats real, whats fake, whats good, whats bad. Someone here may go “Hey I had those same types of injuries and it was a mineral/vitamin deficiency of…. Or “Hey this supplement really helped me out” Bottomline is that being out of shape in my line of work is not a good thing. Age is a bitch and it has officially caught up! So I’m on a mission to get back into the game. I’m not looking to get huge or rip my elbows and shoulders to shred and I do understand what I need to do in the gym and diet wise. That being said I HOPE I don’t get lectured by anyone. I’m far from perfect however I’m not a kid and had been in the game for many years. However any and all constructive criticism is welcome. As far as gear is concerned I never did anything heavy nor do I want to. I know this is a novel but I’m legit and didn’t want to come off as a gung ho punk that wants to get ripped so he could shag his way across the country So thanks in advance MT. Any advice as to vitamins/minerals/supplements would be much welcomed (keeping in mind my mysterious tennis elbow like symptoms) and anything I should absolutely avoid. Also I’m not much a junk food eater, don’t smoke and rarely ever drinks. Looking forward to sticking around this time Damon
