 Hey all...

Im 27, currently 12 stone 7. mum of 2.

well after 2 babies I have been left with a saggy belly, previously 14.5 stones of fat, and a very unhappy self consious mummy. So its about time its all changed.

Ive got myself down to 12 stone 7 using slimming world and not doing any excersise at all, so I want to start getting fit now I dont feel as fat.

Very new to all this, previously the only excersise I had was from horse riding, so look forward to getting to you all better, and pick up and tips you have.

Yuna xxx Soon to be a yummy mummy lol

              Hi Yuna!!!

Well done on losing the weight- now you've got the diet under control, time to hit the gym!

How often are you able to get to the gym? (I know its hard with the babies)

Probably best for you to start off with cardio (bikes, treadmills etc) as often as you can, plus an all over body  weights routine a couple of times a week.....

Hi Yuna and welcome to MT

Well done with the weight loss and have a look round the training forums to help get you started with a new exercise plan.  Are you able to go the gym or are you training at home (not easy with kids to juggle everything sometimes)?

Biking is great, build the time up if you haven't exercised for a while, try and do a bit longer each time.  Do you have any weights at home?  If not you can start doing body weight exercises - lunges, press- ups etc.

                        Hey Yuna!

                        Welcome to the forum!

I really like to read Women's Fitness magazine as most of their workouts are home-based and no equipment needed, ideal for ladies who perhaps don't want to go to the gym, or don't feel ready to yet :-)

Good luck with your goals :-)

                                Great advice from Liz there!

Yuna, you might find this useful:

                                http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html

As sometimes when an exercise is mentioned such as 'tricep extension' for example - for someone who is not familiar with weights, it is difficult to imagine how to perform that - so if you look on that website, you can click on the links for all the different muscles and see the name of the exercises.  If you then click on each exercise, you get a little video clip showing you how to do it!   It's brill!! .... invaluable to me when I first started and I still use it all the time.
