Hi Everyone

I am 37 yrs old and I am determined to improve my fitness by the end of the year. I am 5ft 10 and weight 11 stone. I am in pretty good shape but I want to improve my strength considerably.

Please could I have advice on how to reduce fat on my body, which isnt much and to increase muscle mass. Do eating protein shakes and bars really help. Also which foods should I eat and avoid.

Should I buy these overpriced weight training poweders, do they work? Which machines should I concertrate on mostly.

Your help is appreciated.

      Hi Thanks for the welcome.

I have a gym  and it has all the machines available .It all works on a key which holds my workouts and performance so I can follow a specific routine and then when I get better at it I can alter it.

But I really want to go for it this year and change my body as best I can. But I need to know what foods to eat and do these protein shakes, bars etc actually work.
