Nipple chaffing!??! ARHHH!

I'm just getting back into my training, the first thing I need to do is strip the fat away so I'v been doing 6 miles at quite a fast pace on the treadmill every evening, today my nipples were red raw from all the friction from my tshirt, it was so painful I almost bailed out on my 4th mile but I kept going and one of them actually started to bleed! And there was agony when I jumped in the shower tonight too! There must be a way to stop this from happening? I was thinking, maybe plasters over them or maybe theres some kind of gel you can buy? Whats the best way to stop it? I don't really want to resort to buying some Under Armours, they arn't cheap and Id need atleast 5, plus the extra washing...I could do without it.

Plasters work, although if you're hairy removing them can be painful. I smear a bit of vaseline over mine before doing a cardio session, works well for me.

It's a real problem for us bulkier triathletes, 'cos everything starts off soaked. I just tape 'em. Ordinary plasters, or those round corn-plasters English mentioned, are great. I've used electrical tape, micropore and even gaffer tape once. Snug-fitting synthetics that don't stay wet are best to wear.
