Icemansoldier makaveli1971 1996 Kuyt scores a winner from a re bound and now hes so effective all of a sudden? That was his first prem goal in 29 games or so,rooney plays in a similar position and scores alot more than kuyt and yet hes constantly criticised on here. Hes last 3 finishes show he has the potential to score alot more, and were class finishes. Think some people should look and see just how effective rooney is for united as united very rarely lose or draw when hes playing. As above theres only 2 teams who have a realistic chance of winning the league. Every season now for the last 8 or so years i have heard and listened to liverpool fans, say this is our season,we will be closer this season. Just accept it.......its not going to happen for a long time, if it ever does. They have had an ok start and already liverpool fans are getting carried away. As for Arsenal they have no chance. Who said kuyt suddenly effective casue he scored? I stand by my statement which i have repeated since the start of the season that he is not a RW and is wasted there. He would do well up front with torres imo. An ok start 17 points from 21 points and you call it an 'ok' start, if thats ok what category would you place man utd's start into? There ability to come back against man utd (beat utd without gerrard and torres) and man city show they have bags more ability than last season and they will clearly finish closer (unless we have a injury plagued season eg 3/4 players getting injured at once) to man u and chelsea, thats if man u ever catch up Pay a bit more attention to the thread. As for uniteds start i would say its sh1te but better than last years, and we all know what happened last year. And wow Liverpool beat man utd at home for the first time in a long time, yet couldnt defeat stoke at home. I will stick with my statement and say its an ok start from Liverpool.
If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Its called having a life and having other things to do at times. I really dont see no one agreeing with your statements. We can all say what would that be like without that etc..... Its just nonsence as we will never know.

I can see where Sonic is coming from mind you as Ronaldo was the integral part in Uniteds success last year. He is not firing as of yet this year and they are not playing as well. A simple fact and no need for major arguments over it really.

Hull have been the surprise package. As Makaveli has pointed out to me; Newcastle this year are a joke. Looking bleak.

Im sure Liverpool wouldnt be the same side without Torres and Arsenal wouldnt be the same side without Fabregas and so on. But thats just how it is. Im not complaining.

LOL at some teams being written off already... Decent start by Liverpool. Nothing too worrying to man u and arsenal imo, those points will be picked up sooner or later, and chelsea are the favourites whichever way you look at it. Very, very strong looking team at the mo I don't get some of the negativity towards rooney in this thread, solid player

i think his position was just questioned mate when berbs was bought! he was in bad bad form, but is turnin it round now with some good finishes and performances recently!! the positive thing for us (l'poolo) is that the first 3 games we were fairly poor.. yet still came away wi 7 pts... last season that wouldnt have happened! we would have pulled out draws from all 3 probs.. it shows we are prgressin.. utd have done this for yrs, have played a poor game yet still taken all 3 pts.. im not sayin that is what will win us the league.. but will def help!

I agree that Xabi Alonso is not world class. A very good player but not good enough to warrant a place in the starting lineup in the 4th best team in England. Mascherano is definitely not underrated, most football fans recognise him for exactly what he is - a very effective midfield spoiler who offers very little going forward.

Re Liverpool, if they are still within touching distance of MUFC/Chelsea in January then they can be considered as serious challengers this year.

i agree with integras last comment.. and john cappa's ;-) i love how u choos eur words carefully integra cos u know saying somethin like... ' not good enough to warrant a starting place in the 4th best team in england'.. will cause yet more bivkering!haha.. imo we are now the 3rd best team in england! last seaosn gunners finished ahead of us for the first time in 3 yrs.. does that make them a better team now?? does united winnin the league last 2 yrs make them a better team tha chelsea who won it the 2 yrs previous?? as said before.. i think utd and chelsea are on a par.. and if anythin, we are on par with the gunners, however i think we are slightly ahead of them! my argument for xabi and masch bein world class is a simple one. they both start in their preferred positions for 2 of, if not, the best national teams in the world! that t me says world class.

Xabi does not start for Spain, in Euro 2008 he was behind Senna, Iniesta, Xavi and Fabregas in the pecking order.
