What have Leicester done recently other than get relegated from each league they fall into mate?

won promotion last season back to the championship

currently 4th in the championship having lost the least amount of games in the league.

Beat QPR lastweek, one of the richest clubs in England.

My point is you make such a big deal over other clubs when yours has done as very poorly and got stuffed 2-3 seasons on the trot.

I can understand Man Utd fans and Chelski fans gloating but when any old sh1te clubs does so when their team sucks balls, is a bit silly.

(Ps I'm a Leicester lad from birth and do actually have a soft spot for them - but truth is they sucked for years now).

I think it's due the fact certain Liverpool fans thought they were good enough to win the EPL under Benitez, and claimed if Gerrard and Torres played more games this year they could win it.

if they did then maybe we could

makaveli1971 1996

TBF Benitez has wasted millions over years

Can you show who he has wasted millions on? or are you simply listening to sky sports pundits and the daily mail?

Well the season so far would prove otherwise

83m with no major trophies is a waste.

And the fact that through all the wealing and dealing Benitez has done you only have a couple of decent signings to show for it, again it's poor.

Why your trying to hide behind this I'll never know.

Benitez record in the transfer market is not poor which i have just demonstrated

83 million is small money over 5 years and our squad value now far outweighs our squad value 5 years ago.

Two major trophies, not none (well one major, i dont count the FA cup really as a major trophy)

We have improved under Benitez. We have spend just 16 million net per season. Its a working progress, the season before rafa took over were were 30 points off the pace and the season he took over we were 37 points off the pace! Last season we were 4 points off and the season before 11.

We have improved,If you choose not to see this well then ..........

Im not trying to say we are better than united or even as good as them, or chelsea for that matter. We often get the better off them in one off games which is great but in the end off the day we need to win trophies. I believe rafa can do this.

Its best ignore integra guys,

Are you plain mad? Or just blind to the facts?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1221975/Rafa-Benitezs-229m-spending-spree-The-76-players-signed-Liverpool-managers-reign.html

76 players!!!!!!!!!! Most have been flops, especially considering he has spent 230mil!!!!!

Makes me chuckle that LOLerpool fans are in plain denial that he has spent that cash, suggesting that as he has sold players it balances out.

FACT

he has spent 230 mil on new players

FACT

the only worldclass signings amongst them are Torres and Mascherano, comined fee - 38mil

Leaves 190mil spent on crap in all reality. They couldve signed 5 world class players fo rthat amount, but no, he has Babel, Riera, Lucas and the other useless "tars" they have bought.

If I was a LOLerpool fan, id be calling for his head, and after a manager like Martin O'Neill or David Moyed who, when given funds, make sure they buy the best that they can get for their team.

O'Neill is only effective at establishing a mid table team or top 6 at best, he does not have the ability to manage a top 4 side as he would be found out.

Buy the best they can, are you serious?? He hasnt a clue. And neither do you from the sounds of it.

I dont think either would last long at a top club though.

Agreed. As for MON:

This is why he is no good:
Plays players out of position
His inability to use substitutions when the game is going against the team
His inability to be tactically flexibile
His favouritism towards out of form players who add nothing to the team's play
His inability to motivate players against "lesser" teams
The absolutely awful football his teams produce.

And dont even get me started on the amount of money he's wasted on retarded players.

Back to talking rubbish most people again...Liverpool are in the ****, Benite spent 230m and were **** blah blah

Do people think this is football manager, how exactly could we have bought 5 world class players with the 190m left after Torres and Massy...we wouldn't have a team would we use your head that would be 7 players! and since we got the money from selling players it makes sense to REPLACE them!

Were proper in the **** in the prem ..I mean our last 6 games results is won 3 Lost 3 = 9..Chelsea won 4 lost 2! = 12 Spurs  Won 2 lost 3 drew 1 = 7..City drew 4, lost 1, won 1 =7, Villa won 1, drew 3, lost 1 = 6.... Liverpool are missing 14 players and were still getting better results than most.  Lyon win or draw with Fior and it comes down to Liverpool needing to win by 2/3 goals...the games 5 weeks away we'll have ALL our players back by then we can still qualify.  The prem is gone but we'll still finish top 4.

That all relies heavily on Torres not needing surgery, and staying free of any other injuries for the rest of the season, and let's be honest, he is going to pick up injuries.

Take Torres away and you have no cutting edge whatsoever.

Your previous tactic of trying to bore the opposition into conceding goals doesn't work since your defensive base started to crumble, which makes the reliance on Torres even greater.

Were in the midst of a very very bad injury crises, were having our worst season for 50 years yet were still sitting in 6th.  Once everyone is back fit we'll start winning, plus have you seen our games over xmas, we've got a very good run of games for us to go on a streak.

Last season your defense was slightly more reliable and stable...

It's getting a little boring talking about Liverpool now.  Everyone who isn't a Liverpool fan wants to slag them off, the majority of Liverpool fans blindly defend everything said against them.

Top 4 is not nailled on for Liverpool this year, like you expect it to be pretty much every other year, due to multiple reasons, including the lack of striking options, deterioration of their previously very solid back line, and the improvement of other teams around them.

i don't think liverpool are a bad side at all, especially when everyone is fit but if anyone should be worried about there top 4 spot it is definately them and not arsenal as everyone was saying. I feel arsenal could beat anyone put in front of them at the minute....not sure what kroenke's up to though.

You don't break stereotype do you? You're so delirious it's amusing. You see what your eyes want to see and that's it. Tunnel vision Loserpool fan. You think United haven't had an injury crisis over the years yet we've still done a hell of a lot better than your lot.

Your side has been laid bare for all to see, you're without your saviour and you're getting raped up the arse by practically every side that plays you... and you called us a one man team while Ronaldo was with us, looks who's talking now biatch!!

one win from last seven says it all imo. LOLERPOOL!!!!!

Anyway onto Arsenal, whats this bloke doing with the shares, once he hits 29.9% and "has" to make a bid for the rest like it says on the news, what does that mean?

Does it mean they have to accept his bid? Or just that he has to make an offer?

And what if he does buy 100% of the club, what wold that mean?

Are you plain mad? Or just blind to the facts?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1221975/Rafa-Benitezs-229m-spending-spree-The-76-players-signed-Liverpool-managers-reign.html

76 players!!!!!!!!!! Most have been flops, especially considering he has spent 230mil!!!!!

LMAO a daily mail reader!! Class

Of that 76 players, 49 were either academy players (kids) or free transfers

Not denying he signed them, the myth that he doesn’t give youth a chance when he buys so many?

Who are the flops please name them?

Im sure I could name as many flops that any other team in the premier league has had.

S777

the only worldclass signings amongst them are Torres and Mascherano, comined fee - 38mil

There is a pool of around 10-15 world class players (definition of world class argued 50-60 pages back, im using my own definition) currently, im glad that we have 2-3 of them to be honest

S777

Leaves 190mil spent on crap in all reality. They couldve signed 5 world class players fo rthat amount, but no, he has Babel, Riera, Lucas and the other useless "tars" they have bought.

If he had been given 230 million off the cuff like man city currently have then yes we could have but he didn’t so he has had to buy and sell, incremental improvement.

Can you link to the article that said he was given 230 million in a transfer window to blow?

Or was he supposed to sell a load of players in 2005, not replace them, save up for a few years till he had the money and then buy them?

And my final thing to add to the debate about benitez transfer record.....

Since he has been in charge he has spent 230 million euro gross (i dont like using gross but people such as S777 insist on it)

In the same period United (who already had a multi title winning squad who they had spent millions on already) spent 150 million pounds (convert that to euro yourselves not including the cost of loan deals like tevez or undisclosed fee's)

So rafa spent 230 million euro updating a team who had only won a handful of cups in the previous decade (the best of which is the uefa cup which is a fair big step below the EPL or the ECL or even the FA cup maybe ) and fergie spent 150 million pounds (updating a squad that had 7 or 8 EPL+ 1 ECL + numerous domestic cups in the previous 10 years)

And as an extra lol spurs spent 270 million pounds (pounds, not euro) in the same time frame

And as an extra lol spurs spent 270 million pounds (pounds, not euro) in the same time frame

and they are no closer to winning the title and further away from winning the Champions League.

Evidence that Benitez is not the right man to take the club forwards.

Cappa, you only have 2 world class players in my opinion, Torres and Gerrard.

We have 3, Rooney, Vidic and Gary Neville.

Neville? Not just the LOLerpool fans who are blinded then!
