Doesn't make yours any more right. The simple fact you resort to childish insults however shows the level of person we are trying to discuss/debate the matter with.

Integra john_cappa And my final thing to add to the debate about benitez transfer record..... Since he has been in charge he has spent 230 million euro gross (i dont like using gross but people such as S777 insist on it) In the same period United (who already had a multi title winning squad who they had spent millions on already) spent 150 million pounds (convert that to euro yourselves not including the cost of loan deals like tevez or undisclosed fee's) So rafa spent 230 million euro updating a team who had only won a handful of cups in the previous decade (the best of which is the uefa cup which is a fair big step below the EPL or the ECL or even the FA cup maybe ) and fergie spent 150 million pounds (updating a squad that had 7 or 8 EPL+ 1 ECL + numerous domestic cups in the previous 10 years) And as an extra lol spurs spent 270 million pounds (pounds, not euro) in the same time frame and they are no closer to winning the title and further away from winning the Champions League. Evidence that Benitez is not the right man to take the club forwards. Well 4 points off the top last season incomparison to the 30+ points. Is that closer? yes or no?

Right. So how do you improve on 2nd? By coming 2nd again? No, you are still 2nd best. Torres is now a world class striker - cemented by taking an active part in Spains Euro 2008 campaign. In a world XI only Torres would come close to the squad.

Rooney is quality but would not get a sniff ahead of Ronaldo, Messi, Eto'o, Torres, Villa. Who said G Neville?? lol

The first time we finished 2nd we were 7 points off the top (off the top of my head) Lat year were finished 2nd we were 4 points off the top Hence we were closer? If you are so ignorant to basic maths such as this............ Also the fact that man city have spent 270 million pounds (pounds not euro) since 2006 (yes 3 years) then surely they should be winning the league? ECL? (oh yeah never even been in it or close)

ROFLBenitez is probably on Football Manager 2010 at this moment in time asking his scout to find someone to buy in January that he can sell 6 months later

S777 one win from last seven says it all imo. LOLERPOOL!!!!! Anyway onto Arsenal, whats this bloke doing with the shares, once he hits 29.9% and "has" to make a bid for the rest like it says on the news, what does that mean? Does it mean they have to accept his bid? Or just that he has to make an offer? And what if he does buy 100% of the club, what wold that mean? I Think ones he gets 29.9% he has to make an offer for all the other shares, but i dont think the other share holders are forced into selling, not 100% sure tho Hes been on the board for a while now and hopefully if he does take full control tries to keep things as they are, however i do expect changes, Arsenal are buying properties all around the stadium at the moment, and the rumour amongst the fans is that it will become, Arsenal Village lol with loads of superstores and a hotel etc etc hes just recently sold 40% of one of the teams he had a stake in and that got him 200 million, so he could be planning something soon, who knows. any way off the Liverpool topics, Premier league 2 good or bad idea?

Find it strange tho as 100 of the shares that Stan K bought earlier this week were bought from Hill wood, intresting times on and off the pitch at the moment just hope its for the good of the club what ever the outcome is,

Its one more than Manure would have in it though! And this means? Other than Torres getting the better of Vidic on a few occasions who else has? United set a record of 14 clean sheets last season....so on that basis I think VDS Vidic and Evra would be in with a shot of a world XI. Had Vidic headed the ball at OT and not let it bounce this wouldn't be a discussion, 1 or 2 mistakes does not mean a player isn't world class. Ronaldo never performed against LOLerpool...so I guess this means he cannot be considered for a world XI? LMAO. The logic behind some of the thinking is damn right stupid.....Vidic has been the most consistent defender in the the EPL in the last 3 seasons hence why he was named in each team of the year, and won barclays player of the year.
If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

taken from the bbc Although Kroenke's precise long-term intentions remain unclear, he is not expected to buy the 71 shares that would trigger a takeover bid before next May at the earliest. This is because takeover rules state he would then have to offer the highest price at any stage over the preceding 12 months, with Kroenke paying up to £10,500 per share in a transaction with the Carr Family in May this year. Since then, £8,500 appears to have become the established price and he spent £1.7 million on Thursday on 200 shares to consolidate his position while remaining just below the 30 per cent threshold that would require a mandatory bid.

shane278 Reina, Given and Cech are all better keepers than VDS I'm not so sure what your basing this on....Casillas is obviously better than Reina and I don't think he is as good as VDS. And I wouldn't have Given up there, he would be behind the likes of VDS Cech Casillas Reina Buffon etc.

Given is worldclass without doubt, he was fantastic with a poor Newcastle side. The above three are superior to VDS, i dont expect you to agree Mak as your biased, but thats my opinion.

Given is probably the most consistent keeper in the league. Cech, Reina, VDS are all prone to gaffes. Yet Given has spent most of his career behind a sh1t defense so he's had to learn his trade far better

He wouldn't have spent half his career at Newcastle if he was that good, but now he's in a decent side and has a chance to prove he is one of the worlds best.

Casillas and Reina were both pretty even, but at the moment Reina is the better keeper and is one of the best in the world. Cech doesn't seem to be as good as he used to be. Van Der Sar is nowhere near up there with the best in the world. Given imo has been the best keeper for a number of years, top class shot stopper, also is pretty damn unflappable, never really puts a foot wrong. Top keeper.

I agree beef pumper, and i actually feel if Reina was in the Madrid goal and Casillas was in the Liverpool goal then Reina would be Spains number one. Id consider Brad Friedal as good as VDS.

I know Torres is first choice, but thats because he partners Villa up front, there aren't any other top Spanish strikers at the big Spanish clubs good enough.

Reina may be as good as Casillas but lets be realistic he is far from the worlds best, especially as he could not be considered the best in the prem (but is one of the top 5)
