Walnaldinho Papa Lazarou Yawn. Really shows the mental ages of people where they do it for weeks on end. Why do you even comment on it being annoying, it's obviously what it's there for? Maybe you could just, I don't know, ignore it and treat it with the contempt you believe it deserves? I'm not having a pop, I'm stating the obvious really. Frankly the whole slagging Liverpool thing is a bit boring full stop now. There are 19 better teams in the Premiership to talk about. I guess you are right mate. I'm gonna stop commenting in this thread full stop. Its doing my nut in trying to chat about football and getting nothing close.

Mr.M Integra Mr.M ok, so transfer rumours are abound at the moment... so far i have seen us (l'pool) linked with ; connor whickham- young ipswich player, being followed by us, chelsea and UTD at the moment# lassana diarra- 'Super' Pav... hhmmmmm, no thanks carlton cole milos krasic- bein followed by us, UTD and gunners apparently..russian attacking mid eljero elia- 22 yr old dutch winger....( dont we already have one of these????) ha.. apparently impressing at hamburg at the moment. simon kjaer- danish, palermo defender- could be good as im sure it is palermo who are intersted in dosenna!! have also heard rumours regarding 15m going to west ham for upson and Ilunga... we'll see.. anyone else..?? i dont bother to read rumours for other clubs t be honest. None of the above good enough for a team which wants to win the EPL. thing is tho mate, with signings like Kjaer, and elia, with them being young etc, it is a slight 'gamble', but, UTD wouldnt have known ronaldo would turn out to be the best in the world when they paid 12m for him, arsenal dint know Vermaelen would turn out t start doin so well straight away.. sometimes u do 'unearth' a gem.. but i konw what u mean.. we try t sign too many 'up and coming players' and none have really showed the 'potential' that was first seen in them.. in fact, most 'up and coming' players have failed to materialse really.. nani, babel, lucas.. there's probably more but im tired and cant remember.. we need t be signing some top european players, 25-26 yr old, good international experience etc.. id like t see hamsik come in if we sell masch, wouldnt be too upset if diarra came either.. gets some good game time for real! would love to see RVDV tho.. how do the city fans feel about possibly shelling out £35m on Di maria from benfica???? Most of us are realistic with our aspirations.

i thought it was aimed at what i had said about our targets.. t be honest, u have the cash obviously, the fact that u have some top class players in the side now, and are sitting in a decent position in the league would be an attraction to any player... got to admit i havent seen much of di maria, but £35m is a lot of cash.. hopefully this would refelct his talent and isnt just hughes trying to prove he has the biggest d1ck!!

makaveli1971 1996 To go slightly off topic...this is one thing I never understood while Wembley was being re built. Why couldn't the football team play there games at Twickenham? Makes me laugh we have rugby at OT and now Wembley, yet England's football team couldn't use Twickenham rugby ground as a temporary home. Anyone know why? Never thought of this, but is a good point really, maybe the rugby pitch is too small for the minimum guidelines of a football pitch or something, only explanation i can really think of

I always thought it as I live pretty much 10 mins from Twickenham, the pitch is as big as Wembley I would have thought. And it holds 80,000 odd. I actually think it's a case of the RFU saying know this is the home of England rugby and rugby only. Annoys me when I see wembley being used as a rugby pitch last night.

Looking about the net it appears I found the reason. Apparently it's because the residents won't allow it. What a Sh1t excuse, but when going past the stadium over a little road is people front doors,so they are probably terrified of football hooligans terrorising there houses and cars. Certainly a shame would be good to see a footie match at Twickenham. I found this out reading through this old thread from 2006 http://www.skyscrapercity.com/archive/index.php/t-236015.html

Ahh, not really a fair point, the games were moved to other grounds, whos to say the people living round those areas would want 80,000 fans walking past their house. Obviously they live by a football ground so guess its to be expected, but dont think that can really count as a reason. Not that it matters anymore now.

So have City agreed to sign Di Maria then? He is actualy pretty damn good to be fair, but 35mil is alot of money. Torres only cost 23mil and is one of the best players in the world, just shows how much transfer fees have rised because of the rich clubs. I know City were linked with Subotic too who is a real good prospect, but just read he doesn't want to join City, would rather stay in Germany.

Giovinco is good, he's a class act. Would be funny to see the little man taking on the prem haha. Also Juve signed Diego too so thats the exact same type of player, may let him go, but doubt we could afford him. I hear we have agreed to sign some 14 year old, wonder if Rafa will throw him into action this season lol, could be the only bit of business we make!

haha... well, apprently gunners tried t sign giovinco for just under 6m last yr i think, and obviously turned away, but he isnt gettin any game time at Juve.. would like t see him make the move.. he is fahookin tiny tho isnt he!!! 5'4!! haha... class act tho ur right.. lots of talk that rafa will be cuttin mucho deadwood in jan, but this has been said for along time.. but the likes of ; dosenna, babel, riera, degen, voronin, el zhar all t go t trim the wage bill.. push players like pacheco, eccleston, kelly into the squad more, and wait for nemeth t come back from loan next season..

Yeah I heard Arsenal wanted to swap him for RVP, but the Juve fans put on a protest as the didn't want him to leave. Obviously highly sought after. Also out of that list, Riera and El Zhar have their merits, they are worth keeping. Babel too, but needs to play, otherwise, might as well go. The rest can be sold, well it might be hard lol.

Out of that list dossena and voronin should be sold, babel also as hes not playing. Degen is good back up for johnson looks a good attacker, keep him. Keep riera. El zhar seems decent.

martin kelly is ocmin thru also, possibly rafa sees him as a decent enough replacement for johnson!!?? riera's too hit and miss, as is babel.. like integra always says- u need players worthy of being in a team challenging for top honours.. if we're honest with outrselves, riera wasnt bought as he was first choice, he was bought as we couldnt afford t buy the likes of silva, mata etc.. el zhar has been injured and i doubt will get a look in from now on, plus like i said, id prefer to see pacheco and eccleston/ amoo come thr the youth system and get games as they're v v good prospects..

Glad someone else has mentioned Amoo, he's been brilliant for a young lad whenever I've seen him. Bags of pace with a few nice tricks, can't wait for him to get a chance. Also Kelly looks very solid too, but he is more of a centre back, however he does look good at right back though when he's played there.
