as rubbish as everton are, trust them to turn it round against their biggest rivals and put in a great showing!! it makes sense, its already written!! im trying to stay positive, but its very tough.. wouldnt mind seein us use more youth in the europa league to be honest, although may wel be sh1tting a brick and hope that the europa is his best chance of a trophy this season!!

Back up players very poor tonight. They get there chance and they should be taking it by the scruff of the neck.

obertan looks a better player than what i suppose many thought he would be.. confident on the ball, not a great game for him tonight but he looks a better prospect than Nani :-) not impressed with anderson again, at one point tonight i think i actually compared him to lucas with my UTD fan hosemate.. he didnt take too kindly to it! :-)

Anderson never does it for me. Obertan looks ok and will improve but his final ball at the moment is hit and miss. Fantastic double save from the Turkish keeper at the end.

Mr.M not impressed with anderson again, at one point tonight i think i actually compared him to lucas Difference is Lucas is not doing it in games when you badly need it,Anderson was sh*te tonight but could afford to be. There was hardly no intent from United, and being honest I didn't expect much, they know there through...I certainly wasn't expecting big performances from Anderson. Maybe a bit more from Welbeck and Macheda. Obertans final ball was very poor in the end. How did you come to the conclusion he is better than Nani? Based on that?
If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Obertan does appear to be better than Nani on the showings he has given so far. Nani is tripe. Anderson... is tripe. Looked like he may be useful when he first arrived, been a complete waste of space since. He is defined by his ability to give the ball away.

as wal has said.. he looks a decent player on the ball, Nani is pants basically.. obertan looks like, with more time in the side, he could be a useful player..but yeh as u alluded to, his final ball needs improvement as said, anderson and Nani really have lived up to the money used to buy them! but, its UTD, and they can afford to lose money on players like that..

I'd disagree, aren't/weren't United some 700m in debt?

haha.. Ak- yeh ur right mate, but in terms of cash comin in etc, they stay on top of their debt easily and still hahve plenty t buy players with.. rumours today- Vidic to be gone in the summer- either barca or Real.. Fergie to go in for Marek Hamsik as a relacement for scholes.. this would piss me off as i would love to see us go in for Hamsik if masch is sold.. ah well!! apparently around 25 mil.. bit too steep for our £4.50 budget...

If they sold them , they would still get the 35 mill they paid I disagree, how could anyone justify spending double figures on Nani?? He's stone useless. Or do you mean Anderson would command a transfer fee of £35m and Nani would be given a free transfer?

They are both good players in the right team and playing in the right country.

shane278 Nobody can afford to waste £35m Especially a side in major debt. 'Major debt' is all relative though. For another club with less earning power it would be crippling, for United it's less of a problem. It becomes major debt for a club like Liverpool because their earning power is much less and their debt is comparible. But you're right. No one can really afford to be taking those sorts of financial hits on flops too often.

its easy to slag nani off but look at ronaldo. when you sign these players you just dont know how its gonna turn out. ok anderson and nani are ****, looking at welbeck and gibson id say their ****, but tonight i was happy with the youth, they completely dominated and just didnt get the breaks. clubs buy **** players but its whats in the trophy cabinet that anybody gives two ****s about...............all these **** players were on the periphery when we win everything

Anderson would suit a team like Valencia/Sevilla Id value Nani at £8m and Anderson at £15m, but Ferguson is a stubborn cnut and he wont accept he's been wrong over a player. Nani will be the first to leave, possibly as soon as January. Anderson will be there for another few years but whether he'll improve or not is questionable. Neither have lived up to their hefty pricetags after how many years at the club now??

Nani shows glimpses often but other games he is more than useless , same with anderson. Always risking your money when it comes to brazilian players in england
