Walnaldinho Arsenal will cruise 3rd spot, can't believe anyone thinks Liverpool will finish above them. The Longer Torres is injured, the more likely it is Liverpool will finish outside of the top 4. They really are a one man team. Gerrard has nothing on Torres. Man Utd will still be in for a shout with the title, they will beat everyone that isn't part of the Sky Sports 4, which is enough for them. Chelsea are looking good, but they won't walk it. The African Nations won't affect them much though. Last time out they didn't drop a single point! Villa will fade away in the second half of the season as they did last year. Wouldn't like to comment on Spurs. We arent a one man team, we showed that last season, last year people were saying we are a two man team so make your minds up. Gerrard and Torres are very important players and we can get results without them. I agree that torres is more important than gerrard.

You really are a one man team. You are about as threatening going forward as Birmingham are without him. The fact Everton are terrible at the moment, and they still outplayed you says it all. The fact you scored a fluke goal and Everton wasted chance after chance seems to have papered over the cracks for some of you. As for Liverpool bringing in a striker to aid the situation - where's this cash coming from all of a sudden? Someone find a shed load under their matress they had forgotten about? Arsenal will easily finish 3rd. RVP may be a big miss for them, but they will beat all the teams they should do with ease more often than not. Unlike Liverpool, who will drop points left, right and centre.

We didnt struggle without torres last season. If torres isnt playing we are less threatening yes, but we have shown we can play without him, sometimes without him we struggle yes but sometimes without him we are fine, so its kind of 50/50 so i hope now you can see saying we are a one man team is a bold comment which doesnt stick firmly.

Whether we are a top 4 side without him is debateable atm with our form we are screwed and need him, but on last seasons form we would of finished top 4 without him, everton came 5th with 63 points while torres played 24 games last season, started 20 of them out of 38 games in a season ok, we finished 2nd, we finished 14 points ahead of arsenal and they were fourth, we finished with 86 points, compared to evertons 63 points and they were fifth so pretty safe to say we would of finished fourth last season without torres at all, i cant say for sure but its seems logical based on form.

Last season you had Alonso playing instead of Lucas, you still had Robbie Keane, who may have been out of sorts but would still offer more than N'Gog does. Really? maybe have a check of how many goals robbie scored in in 28 games? oh yeah it was 7 ngog has 5 goals in 11 games so far this season. No one has noticed just how well ngog has been developing this season. Torres being out has been a blessing for that lad. Given him a chance to establish himself Walnaldinho Anyway, I'm bored of the Liverpool debates now - the end of the season will either prove me right or wrong. amen to that! bored of them also Gonna be a long long season!

Ngog is doing well for us, so many slag him, but ive backed him 100%, 5 goals in 11 games is good, hes getting better as the season rolls on. Not sure if agger would walk into any team, but he is a very good defender.

Surely Reinas heroics at the weekend demonstrate that we are not a one man team?

Fantastic result for Villa, into the semi's now. Great to see Young, Milner, Downing and Gabby all interchanging. Downing is gonna be a decent player for us, really pleased to see him start and finish the game.

Reina will save you from the odd loss, he is a decent keeper. But he isn't going to win you games. The whole one man team argument is aimed at how much of a miss and how unthreatening Liverpool really are without Torres. He carries a disproportionate amount of Liverpools threat going forward, so when he is missing is horribly evident. I rate Agger. Just a shame he has chocolate legs.

Your right he carries a big threat but to call us a one man team is not a firm comment as ive said. We have other key players too but hes the most important once again becasue of this it doesnt warrant the comment we are a one man team.

Horribly over rated because he was in a terrible Middlesborough team and was a left footed Englishman. He would be a decent signing for a mid table side, not convinced he is good enough for a side with aspirations of a champions league place. Milner is the most under rated player in the Premiership for me.

He is that good. So good that when he is not there everyone looks a bit flat. Lacking that piece of magic He has potential to be the best striker in the world i think. Currently that will not be achievable in the liverpool side

Walnaldinho: I think Downing will be a great addition to our team, for starters it'll be a boot up the hole to Ashley Young who hasnt been performing, Downing can also play on the left/right or behind the striker, gives us lots of options. He'll be a better player now that he's in a better side. As for Milner, clearly you dont see him every week, his work rate and attitude are faultless, he'll run all day and is as honest as they come. His delivery for the majority of the time is poor, he's not got much pace or trickery, good for a club like villa, typical MON signing but not good enough presently to play top 4.

I was in the gym... didn't see much of it. It meant a lot to me clearly... Gibsons second goal was top drawer to be fair to the lad. From the little bits I saw of the match, we didn't roll over and die like we normally do at Old Trafford, so can't complain on that front. It wasn't a first choice back four, Hutton, Bassong, Dawson, Bale. Bentley started along with Jenas (who isn't a first choice either any more, thank god). Still not a weak side though. Mind you, Utd's '2nd string' is full of established international players who will play a fair portion of league matches this season and will be rotated in and out. Only really Rooney, VDS, Rio and Evra that were missing and would start the majority of games, and two of those are injured anyway.

Two good goals from Gibson was the difference. Not a great game but Gibson, Anderson and Vidic had good games.

Kuyt scored 12 goals with about 10 assists last yr, this yr he has??players are simply not performing to the same standard as last yr.. we arent a one man side, but torres' adsence this yr seems to be hitting us harder than it did last yr.. Spurs were good last night in the first 30 mins.. dominated the game but didnt convert some golden chances- defoe's miss after bale whipped in that magic cross was awful!! gibson's second was beautiful tho.. fair play to him.. lennon ran rings around neville last night too!! he looks so far off the pace at the moment.. look like a true pit donkey last night..dont think it wil be too long before he retires and probably takes up some form of coachin job at UTD..
