Walnaldinho Being as this thread is dying, let's move it away from the boredom that is Liverpool... Champions: Utd Runners Up: Chelsea Third: Arsenal Forth: Man City :-( Europa League Places: Tottenham, Liverpool Relegation: Portsmouth, Burnley, Hull (would rather see Wolves) Let's see how everyone see's it finishing now... Best answer my own question really...

Some good comments on football365 about it lol ..Well, all the World Of Warcraft players can stop looking now, Steven Gerrard has found the invincibility cloak. James Le Beak Gerrard is made captain of England for a friendly. In following Premier League games, he gives a ref the V sign and smashes a player across the head with his forearm and no punishment is given. I'm sure there was several dives in there as well. I understand why Terry didn't want to give that armband up. It really does give you a licence to do what ever you want!! Dave Ainscough Odds, Anyone? I wonder what the odds are on Steven Gerrard scoring against us this weekend after he should've twice been banned? Mohammed Sohail Moosa Personally i think the "v" sign was him signalling that he was taken out of it twice already. I mean who gives the "v" sign anymore. He would have flipped the middle finger if eh was going to do that. So who si going to take over from Brown? Venables and Hughes seem to be the most likely at the moment

However the Hull defender actually raised his elbow at Gerrard first, so TBH I think it should be both - Gerrard just raised his elbow above Browns. Both appalling play and esp Gerrard, being Captain and all.

just saw the gerrad thing on sky sports news reminds me of sol campbell getting sent off against utd for doing something pretty similar against ole solskjaer - only difference being gerrad had full view of what he was aiming at while sols back was turned as he tried to fend ole off yet sol got a red and gerrard got nothing

I dont think brown did anything wrong in the way he raised his arm. They raised their arms at the same time really. Gerrard was not reacting to Browns raised arm. He was annoyed at how the player had intentionally blocked him (which was wrong).

I'm not sure - i reckon it was the raised arm - certainly would have angered me when I used to play.

Its a red card full stop tbh. Brown doesnt raise his arm near gerrards face, gerrard mma elbows brown lol Disgraceful play by gerrard, hes captain and should have more sense.

Ballbag AKA onefatidiot How the hell did he escape punishment for that Because the ref gave a free kick for it, so the FA can't deal with it. If it had of happened outside of the refs view, the FA would have stepped in. I'm not saying it shouldn't have been a red card, just saying in the rules of the game nothing else can be done really. Also, it couldn't have happended to a dirtier player than Brown lol, he deserved that for all the years of fowling and filthy tackles he dishes out haha.

Villa dying in the second half of the season, no surprises there then. Just 3 wins from the last 10. Have no fear, Spurs will lose to the anti football that is Stoke today though.

If i were a betting man i'd lay something on Torres & Rooney scoring today. Hopefully Vidic will be torn a new anus this afternoon.

Chelsea... LOL My facebook has now turned into a Chelsea free zone lol...had all the Chelsea fans saying all season how they will win everything and United will win sod all just like they do every season... Now it's looking very bleak for Chelsea winning any majors yet again,if they end up 3rd what a humiliating season it will turn out to be.
If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

West ham got off for bad fouls twice. Wolves deserved that win, but it should've been 4-0.

Well Liverpool will at least get to play in Europa again next year because Villa haven't changed at all from last season - they seem to think the season ends at the start of February.
