the press don't give a **** that he had to replace 30 players from the houllier era they dont give a **** that about 30 of those 70 signings were for the youth/reserves they don't give a **** that the net spend is only 80m they don't give a **** that our squad has the fifth highest wages(maybe sixth because Arsenals wage bill might be higher) or the fifth highest squad cost Wish someone like Toney Barrett would stick this in the mail http://tomkinstimes.com/2009/10/fao-open-minded-football-journalists/ but doubt his editors would give a **** about dispelling any of the bollocks. Tomkins added up the cost of every player still at the clubs in the league and Man City - £270m Chelsea - £240m Man Utd - £219m Spurs - £202m Liverpool - £159m Arsenal - £90m(but them players like merida are noted as free but they have to pay barca £3.2m for him and im sure fabregas cost them a few million compo but well worth it) Im sure Sunderland are knocking on our door as well Source http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=249365.0

Why are you so smug about it? You happen to support the club? Why does that make you a better person mate?

LOL ^^ Sore losers. If the shoe was on the other foot you'd be given it back twice as bad, you just don't get that opportunity. Get the hankies out tonight boys, you're going to be in for a ride if you're sobbing already.

Funnily enough we support Liverpool so we talk about, crazily enough, Liverpool. Its likes taking the p1ss out of people taking AAS and question why people are people talking about AAS in the TAOS section - bit daft really.

Papa Lazarou john_cappa integra is a man city fan So why the hell is harping on about how sh1t Liverpool are doing so smugly when they've spent millions and millions and flopping around just as badly as Liverpool? How are City flopping around? They have set themselves a top 6 target and are sitting 4th. Underperforming yet they are 2 places above LOLerpool with a game in hand unless I am mistaken. LOLerpool under ROFL are a joke of a club. Title challenge indeed!

lol ^^ Man City have impressed me a lot this season. Their squad is definitley top 4 worthy, I am confident in saying that they will meet expectations and finish 4th this season, albeit taking Liverpool's place. Not only is their fielded 11 strong but they have quality plays any team would want on the bench.

I think City may contend for a top 6 place but I dont think they will have the staying power to break the top 4 this year. Over the next few years unless LOLerpool have some major investment and get rid of Benitez they are going to find themselves sinking rapidly. Especially after Gerrard and Carragher retire.

Didn't Chelski scoot to the top of the league when they were bank rolled? Just because they said they want top 6 doesn't mean its value for money! And I suppose 0-0 against Brum, 1-1 against Wigan, 1-1 against Fulham etc are good results? Liverpool are doing poorly no doubt, but get your head out of your own ar$e, you aren't doing much better - FFS you are 1 point ahead. Big deal!

Love it when fans of big clubs trundle out the 'bankroll' line of argument. Especially from the same fans who were ejaculating over each other when newspapers ran stories of the Dubai group takeover rumours. Not to mention how the Americans were going to pound their rivals into the ground with their financial clout. City are doing MUCH better than LOLerpool in terms of expectation levels.

and yes, the draws are actually very good results. These would be games that we would have lost last season.

And the bankrolled argument was to show clubs could perform much better than you have. Of course it would be great if we were and had the chance to target some decent £20m+ players for the midfield and upfront.

Says most people actually. City expected to push for a top 4 place? Only a minority of City fans would say yes. Therefore 4th place would be a remarkable achievement for a consistently midtable team. LOLerpool expected to challenge for major honours - they are out of the title race and (fingers crossed) out of the Champions League. Their season will be over before Christmas unless they get their act together. Its usually Arsenal that are the LOLing stock, but they have handed the gauntlet to LOLerpool.

Who is most people? You, Caldera and Mac? And why remarkable? Chelski were constantly midtable and look where they are now and have been for years now. Anyway, you support Man Sh1tty so leave LOLerpool alone
