Integra Baird Integra Where did my reply go? La Liga teams have won the ECL more times than EPL teams. They have been in more finals than EPL teams. A La Liga team won the last tournament, beating the best EPL team very comfortably. More top players play in La Liga. Their national team are the best in Europe. Yes stats from the past. Just look at how the English teams have done over the last few years. Barca won last seasons final. Barca won in 2005. Which selection of recent history would you like to choose to underline your point? Let's see how many Spanish teams have been in the Semi final's of the Champions league since 2005 compared to EPL clubs?
Blue_Lagoon3000 Ive been entered a few times by delivery men, i didn't hold it against them.

Barca failed to beat Chelsea last year though Integra and were very fortunate to get a draw at that. Infact - Barca have failed to beat Chelsea in numerous recent meetings when we've had 11 men on the pitch.

The way I see it: Prem best six teams: Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool Manchester United Man City Tottenham Primera best six teams: Barcelona Real Madrid Valencia Atletico Madrid Sevilla Deportivo IMO any of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool could win the Champions League. Where as only Barcelona or Real Madrid could win it from Spain. That leaves Man City and Spurs along with Valencia, Atletico, Sevilla and Deportivo who are all about the same quality, however Man City, Valencia and Atletico are the top three out of that group.

The best team consisting of EPL, La Liga players Gk Casillas/Reina/VDS DR Puyol/Johnson. DC Vidic DC Terry DL Evra/Cole ML Messi MC Iniesta MC Fabregas MR Ronaldo FC Torres FC Drogba Even if we give them GK and DR EPL still wins again.

Was also meant to put Lampard beside Fabregas as it could be either.

Goodness me, I can't imagine anyone wanting to play against that strike force, Torres and Drogba!! I know, new idea, everyone post up the best Premiership starting 11 plus 7 subs vs Primera. Lets see what we all get.

Would be something....I always used to think some years ago when Henry and Van Nistelrooy were banging in the goals in the EPL imaging those 2 together.

This was hard enough...give my La Liga one later.... GK Cech DR Johnson DC Terry DC Vidic DL Evra ML A.Young MC Fabregas MC Gerrard MR Arshavin FC Torres FC Drogba SUBS VDS Ferdinand A.Cole Lampard Carrick Rooney Van Persie Tough choice Berbatov,Tevez,Ballack,Barry,Adebayor,Gallas,Reina would just miss out. This is currently, if the likes of J.Cole gets back to form then I'd probably have him in there.

Sorry mate.Couldn't resist it. Good to see you are still confident in your team though. So,are you behind Rafa or want him out mate?.I think he has taken them as far as he can.Plus he is very poor when it comes to signing players.Would love to see what a manager like Wenger, who is brilliant in the transfer market, could do there.

I just picked the teams I thought had the best quality, whats your best six? I wont argue with the usual top 4. But City and Tottenham moreso dont deserve to be labelled in the top 6 league sides. For the last 2 years, the top 6 teams have not changed, they have been the 6 best teams no matter what their sequence was over the last 2 seasons. At present Villa are 5th, having beaten already beaten Liverpool 3-1 and Chelsea. To not include them is not a fair reflection of the 6 best sides in the league, based on long + short term performances.

Yeah, thats a fair point about the league table, I just think Spurs have better quality players so if I was to pick the best six teams to represent the Prem and play against Primera best six, they would get the nod. You can't dispute Man City being in there though, they may be new on the block, but with the quality they have signed, they are there no doubt.
