Cracking right boot?  1 screamer every 500 shots is hardly a cracking right boot.  The fact his next shot after his last screamer nearly went for a throw in says it all.

Being able to kick a ball hard does not mean he has a good right foot.  There is the small matter of it being on target as well.  The fact the corner flags run for cover every time he winds up for a shot wouldn't suggest he has a good right foot.

Aqua would prob be playing ahead of lucas if he was ready, prob see him second half, hopefully.

It's not an argument, it's an opinion.  That's what football is all about!

I know people are slating that starting line up, but it's not that bad.  I personally would get rid of Kuyt because I think he is terrible, add in Torres when fit and it's not all that bad.  It would comfortably finish in the top four this season.

The main issue is obviously the lack of goal threat when Torres isn't around though.

Never mind the run of form, even if they were in good form there is a severe lack of any form of pace between the two of them.

The difference is that deep down Carra is a quality player, whereas Kuyt is not!

I think he has a lost a yard of pace that he couldnt afford to lose though

Carra is past it because he has the turning circle of an oil tanker and takes twice as long to accelerate.  He was never quick to start with. 

The mind may well be willing, but I just don't think he has the physical ability to cope with the pace of the game any more.

Fair point. I agree that he is getting caught out by the quicker players.

I suspect he may retire in the not too distant future anyway
